oops.....3 plants.....one pot....what do i do?

i have 3 plants in one pot. i accidently let them go too long before transplanting. the roots grew together, so, when i switched them to a 5 gal pale, i had to keep them all siamesed together. question: should i kill two of them? i would say to waite untill i can sex them, and just snip the male(s), right???? anyone ever succesfully done multiple girls in one pale before???? as long as they get what they need, they should be ok right???? im using cfl's to grow, so i can position them to reach all around the plants. i have a 40w 3000 lumen t-2 spiral at the top, with 13w and 27w around the plant. 6 total. seems to be vegging awsomely, im at week 4, the biggest girl is about 18 inches, the smallest, 6 inches......
heres another question: why does only the 6 incher smell like skunk, and the 12 and 18incher dont?????

you'll have to cut the roots of the make plants out the best you can.

If you chop the males and keep the roots the roots will rot
keep the males you get seeds but no rot

I'd chop the males and cut their roots away the best i can, then i'd add fresh soil where the root masses were removed.

just keep all 3 of em together in the 5 gal. bucket...then chop the males, allowing for the females to grow out....don't worry about the root rot...the roots will provide nurishment for the female plants...just go a lil easier on the nute schedule tho....you'll be fine

If they're the same seed from the same plant; they're all different phenotypes...

i.e. your brother/sister and you are all from the same two parents, but you don't look exactly the same *unless twins*

this holds true with MJ....1 might be stinky and the others might not be...but not to worry...they'll all end up stinking in a couple months

id say instead of seperating them into 3 seperate pots, move them to a bigger area like the size of a sandbox and transplant them all together and let them keep doin there thing, i wouldnt cut the roots

thanks alot for the input. im thinkin to start like 3 more seeds, real quick, and when i flower my big ones(3), i will be flowering 3 additional plants, they wont get over 18 inches before i start the 12/12, but, between all 6, i should get a decent yeild. next grow, im gonna do 6 at once.

grow them out and clone them.

and if you have to cut any out dont water as much let that soil get bone dry before you water...you dont want them dead roots to stay wet alot...

you will be fine dont worry about root rot..... I have done this many times, even with clones, It can help cut down veg time.

My first grow had 2 plants in one pot I just trimmed the sides which touch to get better light distribution DO NOT CUT THE ROOTS it could kill all the plants

see my avatar look at the left side there's the other sister, one was alot taller but the smaller one was more potent but exactly the same strain Swazi 100% sativa

i just chopped a bush i grew 3 weeks ago that started with 15 seeds, 13 grow and 4 went male. i killed the males and the rest grew fine all summer and was the best plant of my harvest. i would suggest growing it outdoors though if it wasn't winter cause the plants going to need alot of rooting space.

I agree with the answers you get. I also grow three in one pot - on purpose, and I train them to the side, so they don't fight each other over light. I think if you let them grow upright, and they're too close, one will dominate, and eventually stunt the other, by starving it for light. Nutrients, on the other hand, should be easy enough to supply in ample amounts within the same pot.
