Only dimmer or grow light glasses/sunglasses when working in your tent?

With a full spectrum LED grow light, in terms of eye safety not looking directly at the light, is it sufficient to turn your dimmer to the minimum when working in the tent or should you still be wearing eye protection? I hope it is alright because that has been my approach so far with my Mars TS1000. I want to get what I need to protect my eyes though if it's not sufficient.

I squint... but most recommend eye protection, don’t bother spending big money on special led glasses though. Cheaper ones are fine.

I can give my experience so far with high powered lights (500w+)

I wear a bucket hat while I work in the room, to make sure I don’t accidentally glance up at them. Also generally not looking at them helps. I do wear regular sunglasses anyways, but I doubt these are good enough to “look” at the lights with.

Just use common sense, and if at any point your getting after images after looking away, that means it’s too bright on your eyes and you need to put sun glasses on. I would wear them anyways. I always try and wear mine because I have wandering eyes and like to look at the sun.

Dimming your TS 1000 is totally fine, at that low of intensity you could probably be in the space for hours without any problems. I use a TSW 2000 and was doing that as well, i found that wearing the proper glasses was way too dark for me to do my work comfortably. Right now I'm using a 315 watt CMH and never hooked up the dimmer so i try to get in & out of the flower tent as quick as possible. I should, but I don't wear the glasses.
