One side of bud ready, otherr side not?

I just harvested Aurora Indica. It was going on week 12 and wanted to harvest as 30% of trichomes were amber and 70% cloudy. I considered it a successful grow so far as the buds were enormous for the indoor grow.

What I realized though, is that while I was harvesting one side of the bud looked done, while the other side that didn't get as much light looks on the green side. The plants were in a grow tent with lots of lighting, but next time should I lift the buds so that they can get as much equal light on all sides as possible?

Definitely happens. That's why we train plants to make an even canopy, do some light defoliation to remove the big fan leaves that cover bud sites, and remove the growing tips from under the canopy. But in every grow there will be buds that are "less done" than others. You can always harvest the ripe buds and leave the rest in there to continue cooking if you want, but I don't do that anymore, I'm good to harvest when the bulk of the plant is ripe for convenience sake.

Indoor growers turn their plants each day for this very reason
