I like the story so far. Don't worry about the plants hogging lights. The leaves have the ability to pass light through each other so they all receive some. Just a little benefit from mother nature.
Another thing u could always do is cut the smaller one off and clone it that way there root ball wouldnt get so big in those cups
Thats pretty cool...scrog seems like a good idea just slit them and let em grow to there sides..looking good so far...Good luck man
I'm extremely interested in this thread!! I'd like to kick myself in the ass for not letting mine grow... with my seeds I could see that they were coming from the same taproot. Meaning they WERE one plant. I had a thread posted about this and majority told me one wouldn't survive. I even explained that it seemed as if both sprouts were coming from the same root and no one gave me sound advice.
It's good to see people encouraging you to grow it out. I'd love to see it work out for you. But you said you had some yellowing already??? You may have a challenge for yourself my friend. But i agree with the rectangular pot. I'd go as deep and long as possible if i were you.
I noticed with my twins one just started to go down hill while the other just took over. Once i saw it showing the slightest bit of stress i cut the smaller seedling. But i should've grown it out!!! damnit! You don't see many threads of people trying it. I wish i would've so we could have some data on how it went.
shit.
I'm rooting ( no pun intended) for ya brotha!! rep for getting wild genetics and growing them out!
This is pretty wild man. I definitely want to stick around to see what happens. Are you going to lst the bigger one so it doesn't block out the light or anything? That cabinet is pretty tight to...
Are they doing ok now?? I see it's been 6 days since yellowing, any major changes? I agree with above poster, very very interesting
Like your scrog cab!! It looks great but it almost looks like there's too much distance between the bulbs and the screen. Seems like it should be closer but idk if it would burn your plants, don't have too much experience with hps.
Either way I'm subscribed, eager to look on this growgood luck!!
Have you thought about cutting a couple of holes in your cab and using an inline fan to vent all the heat out somewhere? HPS need really good ventilation systems or you run into too much heat/humidity. As for the UFO, I'm not a real big fan of them, but if you're going to use one you might as well use a few, cause 1 UFO won't get the results you desire. Need more power and less heat. Or more power(HPS) and better ventingAnother option you may want to look into is a cooltube. I'm sure there's tons of info on here about them, just gotta do a little digging
Beware though, I hear cooltubes reduce luminous output by at much as 10%.
Either way I hope you can get temps figured out, good luck!
