one question

OK, got 12 girls, one is about outta there so we will be at 11.

I just got these 2 days ago and 1 was pretty wilted, and is headed in the downward motion.... they are from 3" to 5" tall and when we got them, roots were already visible through the rockwool. We put them into 5gal. buckets already and the temp is roughly 80-85f, with hum. at roughly 50-60% (im thinking we should have it a little more humid, right?)

Now the question is, at this heigth and being in those buckets (which are big) how often should I water these little tykes and about how much? oops one more.... should I only water where the roots are? or water evenly over the whole top layer??

thanks to the best website EVER, I am on my way!!!

hello man! I'm new, but most people water the plants once every 2-3 days...I personally water once every 3, I water the plants till the soil is wet ...then stick my fingers in the soil every day to see the moisture level...I'd advise to water over all the pot, because the plants roots have to grow, if you water the plant too much they wont grow... cheers!!!!!

You water when the soil is dry. Stick your finger down in there and water those girls depending on whether its dry or not, or get a moisture meter. About $12 but a handy tool it is. Also water til you see a drop come out the holes in your bucket.

don't water until the 5 gallon bucket is dry.

Since your working with a smaller plant i would not water to saturate the enitre bucket, it will take a long time to dry out, try to water maybe the top half, not watering until water comes out of the holes on the bottom.

But when it get's bigger, of course you will want to water all the way down, and then wait for the whole thing to dry out.

just my opinion.

i super agree with russ.

i placed my clones in 2 gal buckets i trito water around the roots (rule of thumb most plants root systems extend out/wide as the canopy of the plant-meaning as wide as the leaves are, so are the roots. root sytems tend to grow down more dramaticaly)
i give a little splash around the edge of the pot to dampen the rim soil

also try to get your temp down in the next couple of days. once youve rooted and you begin to harden (dry out the clones) you can drop the temp towards 72-77max and the humid is about perfect.
i have few plants the same size and i use about 4-5 gallons water per watering with 50 plus 2 gal pots

note about humidity. as tempuarture goes up more lbs per cubic inch of water can be contained in the air. meaning hotter air evaps more water thats why florida sucks and feels so heavyin summer.

new pics cong in a couple of mins check em out let me know what yall think.. even you just wanna crack jokes guys, say somthing i'm all alone in the norCal wilderness.
