ONE Plant

A lot of the advice for growing I see here is for large or at least multiple plant growers. Does anyone have any advice if I want to just grow one or two plants for personal use?

what kinda advice you want you have to tell people what your looking for! ive just started out growing and this site helped alot! my first grow i grow one trained plant in a little homemade box with 100 odd watts of cfl's and yielded just under an onuce!

Im mostly wondering what kind of container to use, wattage...etc.
In other words, whats the ideal setup for one or two plants?

well i cant give you the ideal set up as im new to it as well! my setup was a selfin unit that i took the middle selfs out of and put mylar round the side for reflection and to block it up! made some reflectors out uf biscut tins put them at the top with 6 lights 4x 20 watt 2x 18 watt cfls all 2700k spec! and had my plant in a 7.5 ltr pot!

was that the plant that yielded just under an ounce?
if so, i might do something similiar.

You'll probably want to grow at least three to make sure you get a female. Everything on here applies to one plant as it does multiple. You could setup a DWC, one bucket per plant. If you want decent plants then the more lighting the better your results and you get a 400 watt HPS if you are only going to grow 2 plants and you can also do moe later if you decide to. Most people start out small and then grow more so it is cheaper to buy bigger lights you can expand with instead of having to upgrade every grow, you'll save money in the long run. The biggest limitation is the size of your room.

im not sure what strain it was cause i got the seeds in amsterdam they were a feminized sensi mix but if i was to guess id say it was the sliver haze #5 as it had a long finishing time and slim leaves!

I dont think I will be upgrading at any point. I live with several roomies,
and they NEVER go in my room (even if they did, they wouldnt care, they are stoners themselves),
but I dont want to intrude on their space if I choose to grow indoors.
So one or two plants is probably all I will ever grow.

i agree with la9 i now have a 400 watt hps because you could yeild enough to do till the next harvest with it! but if you dont smoke that much cfl are easy and cheap with no heat probs
