one plant cfl grow

Hey guys im doing a one plant cfl grow and was wondering what u thought about having 12 26watt 27k for flowering(312 actual cfl wattage)...if i evenly despense all that light to the one plant and keep them very close...keep in mind i will have cfl's around the bottom, the middle and huvering the plant...should i pull off a decent yield just for personal use??

sounds like your doing it right soooooo yea you will get a decent yield you aren't far off from puting a 400wer in there though.... ffor personal use you may pull enough off to last you till next harvest because thats the goal right, to make it from one harvest to the next.... depends on how much you smoke and with how many people... I smoke an oz a monthish me and my wife

I just pulled 10 oz. wet weight off mine, with 305w.

You think i could maybe pull off an O?
An oz would probly last me twice as long cause my ole lady dnt smoke but ever so often...I am new to the cultivation of cannabis but i figure with some tlc and babying id get the love n care back..not reall sure what u mean i was close to putting a 400wer in there?? Maybe that im close close to the equivelent to a different/better light like an HID?
Hopefuly if i surround it with reflectors and stuff like mylar i can reap a good yield...thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated.

I used 12- 23 watt cfls on one UK CHEESE and yielded just over 2 z's of killer bud. Just keep the lights 8" or less away. Tend to your lights daily and you will be good with your light.

I mean yea you have 312w of cfl you wan't to use wich isn't far off from a 400 hid. cfl are good too though just seems like a lot of work. a lot of stuff to set up maintainand adjust. I have never flowered with cfl though so maybe I'm wrong. I veg with cfl but veg doesn't require much. I keep one in veg and one in flower a tall times so I can harvest every 2 months and it works out pretty good growing one monster under a 400w hps and veg under 2 26w cfl. produces more than enough to make butter, hash, and enough bud to keep me happy. there are a lot of cfl growers here though poke around check out what they got going on. I think an o is definetly doable

Nice grow man...I also plan to just grow straight up...no topping, lst, fimming..no nothing just straight up...only just to get the jist of what to expect in the plant growth..then when i get a few succeful harvests under my belt ill start experimenting with diff techneques...ive heard great things about lst and seems somewhat easy..but thats for another day....if i grow straight up and keep lights huvered 1-2" above it that will reduce stretching right?...i have about 4 1/2-5 1/2 ft to work with in height. I know that strain an genetics play a big roll in yield but with what im wanting to do, what do you think a ballpark estamate on yield could be? just so i could have something to shoot for and what to expect...Thanks

The lumens do not work like that. A 26 watt cfl is 26 watts. The light WE SEE appears as bright as a 100 watt incandescent in a 26 watt cfl, but for growing purposes, it is just a 26 watt light. Lumens is more or less what you need to concentrate on. Here is a chart that might help.

Once she finished the third/ fourth week of flower after the flip, the only time I had to move the bulbs was when I pulled her out to water, or rotated the pot, but I see what you mean.
It WAS a PITA for a few weeks there.

my point was that if you add 26w 12 times you are getting close to running 400w so why not just get a rea light. watts do add up. noone is even mentioning lumens. dude wants to grow some weed he can with what what he is planing, whatever your saying is not really helping here and really is out of place.

No topping or LST, I think you'll be close to an O.
I have to say all the LST and the top gave me a lot more than if I had not.

How many cfls would it take to veg about six plants for 4 weeks? From there i will pick out my girl if im lucky enough to get one..just gotta work with what i got...i will have 26w 65k's available for vegging those 6 so how many would i need?

what are you trying to do??? set a goal. it sounds like you have out grown your setup before its even strted. you could put 2 over each on that short of veg but what when it comes to flowering that many plants?

Im just want to load up an do my homework...Dont wanna go into something not really knowing what to do. i dont wanna take my chances with one seed so id like to veg and sex 6 to better my odds of finding a female from bagseed.

Stick to your plan. Your imagination and excitement is producing some scope creep. I started out a bit ago putting four seeds in four different pots. Now i have one plant, the other 3 didn't germinate. I don't know i would have done if they had.

I started in a left over christmas storage container, and within a month my baby outgrew that. now i have her in a 2x2x6 growtent with a CFL halo over her head. I understand you wanting to make sure you get atleast one fem, but remember why you're doing this first round: xp.

So many things can go wrong. With my first baby, i nearly burned her to death. I didn't pay close enough attention and the temps in the space jumped past 100(f) in a period of six hours. she recovered though.

IMHO, once i am ready to ask questions like 'how long' or 'how much', i'll be able to answer them myself; and that's the best part.

And my goal is once i find my female to load her down with 12 26w27k switch to a 12/12 cycle and baby her through flowering...im not wanting to grow multiple plants, just one.

Thanks for all the input...ive grown before but it turned out very small..i think i was just to impaitient and only used like 3 13 waters lol but i will update my grow in days to come, just waiting on my next paycheck to get started...i figured getting as much insight as i could would help
