One Plant Always Droopy – Treated All the Same

Hey folks,

I’ve got 3 Super Lemon Haze plants growing under the same conditions—same light, water, temps, everything.
But one of them has had droopy leaves from the very beginning, even as a seedling.
What's weird is that she’s still the same size as the others, growing just fine otherwise.

I transplanted them yesterday into these 8 Liter pouches, and I thought shes going to stop doing that, but she
is still doing that.

Any ideas what could be going on? Genetics maybe? Appreciate any thoughts.
Its the plant in the middle...

Can't really pick out a droopy plant from the other two in the picture. Think they look robust and well cared for.
Wait, you really dont see the angle of the leaves on the plant in the middle?
They do look symptom-free, true, but she really has droppy leaves all the time.
Here I marked it with paint, look:
You really dont see that?
Im surely not hallucinating right (?).

You have recently transplanted them? They look strong and healthy to me.

Yep yesterday, but she is doing that since the beginning. Even as a seedling she did that in her 300ml pots.
They do look healthy, but I just dont understand why her leaves are hanging down all the time.

Maybe thats really a genetical thing? Maybe shes a bit more sensitive towards light? Could that be?

I see it, but it looks good to me. Doesn't look over or under watered. I will say this though, your humidity looks wayyyyyy too low, for the temp.

That particular pheno, may be sensitive to that.

Yea its weird, its just this one plant. The others dont do that. I guess as long as she grows as much as the other ones,
I might not need to worry too much.

And for my humidity: I know and I bought 2 humidifiers but I was never happy with the results,
I tried a cheap 50$ and a 100$ humidifer and both disappointed me, so I gave up on
trying to get the humidity higher. Thats what im working with for 3 years now.

I tried out placing buckets with water inside too or other methods but nothing helped me. :(

OP: plant is looking good but yes the leaves are a bit down but nothing major.
Do all the girls drink/dry out the same? Or does the middle one drink slower?

Its the centre plant and one would assume it gets a little more light than the sides. Have you tried switching up the plants so middle plant ends up on a side?

all in all i think youre looking quite good but could probably benefit from a bit more humidity this early in veg

I would say yes. They drink the same and grow the same, she doesnt suffer from slower growth as far as I can see.
They are all about 21cm tall and 15 days old now.

I was just wondering because I grow this Super Lemon Haze alot and so far Ive never seen this.
Typically droopy leafes means Im doing something wrong with water or light.

Ive also had the plant on the outside, and I have my middle LED dimmed a bit more, but that does not seem to affect her,
regardless of where I place her.

And yea my humidity is terrible, but I just cant it high enough, tried out couple methods and humidifiers but I couldnt get higher then
45%. So it wasnt really worth the money. :(

From seeds.
You likely just have one pheno out of the three that has slightly different needs/preferences. Maybe more food, different light requirements or temp/humidity parameters, maybe all 3... you’d have to do some poking around to find out.

It doesn’t look bad at all, but will likely have “droopy” leaves until it finishes without you making any changes.

Yea I actually did another test today in the morning, and turned down my LED in the middle even more.
According to my phones app, the plants on the outside now receive 350ppfd (down from 400),
and the plant in the middle, the droopy one, now receives 320ppfd (down from 410),

and now she looks much better, her leaves arent hanging anymore.
I guess it really is the light. Ive had phenos before, but never in a way thats so different in terms of preferences!
Thats kinda crazy to be honest.

Well mystery solved I guess, once again, thanks to all for your time and help.

It could be the light, it may have gotten to a more preferable soil moisture, there really are so many factors that could influence what you saw earlier. Either way, just keep an eye on all your parameters as it helps narrow down the causes of issues should they arise.
Glad to see the plant perked up for you!

Some Parameters
Light Intensity (ppfd or lux)
Environment (temp/RH, CO2, air movement)
Soil/Media Moisture Content & ph
Fertilizer balance/concentration
Plant (leaf temp/vpd/ leaf angle, color of stems, petioles and leaves, shape of leaves, etc.)

That's true, I just ruled out the water because not only did all the plants get the same amount, but my grow medium also contains a lot of coco and perlite (thanks to this forum), and I’m using fabric pots—so I was 97% sure the water wasn’t the issue. And because she was doing that since her
seedling phase, no matter how dry or wet she was. She has a history of acting up. :p

I was just so confused and didnt understand why she kept doing that, even after transplanting.

But yea Im glad as well. Wish I could get my humidity 20% higher. Thats my last problem now.

I use the spiderfarmer humidifiers the 6ltr versions i have 1 for each of my 2 tents and they work well i never struggle to reach a comfortable humidity .

The one with the pipes? Does it produce warm mist or cold mist?
Im from EU and so I only have access to Amazon EU, wich kinda sucks compared to Amazon US, not so many products etc.
I guess its simular to the 5L Mars Hydro Humidifier right?

I tried out this one:

And this one:

They either produced too cold mist, or not enough humidity. So I gave both back. ;(

EDIT: Found it for EU : https://spiderfarmer.eu/products/6l-cool-mist-humidifier/
