one light didnt turn off during 12/12

so my plants are 2 weeks into 12/12, and this morning I woke up one of my lights for some reason didnt turn off and was on for 9 hours of the dark cycle. I turned it off for the remaining time of dark cycle someone please tell me screwed i am or how lucky i am that it has only happened once and I cant let it happen again. someone please help me

It happened plenty of times for me, plants did just fine. No need to panic.

Are you by any chance using one of the cheapo timers that you'd buy for your christmas lights etc? My problem with lights not turning off was due to using such a timer, and upon buying a timer with a contactor (mine was branded plug n grow heavy duty timer) all the issues went away.

thank god you just gave me this news lol.. Its actually a digital timer and i found out today that it was programed to stay on that day
