This is your first grow, GrimReafer?
I might suggest you don't mist at all. Keep things simple until you get a good understand of how your plant will react under different conditions.
For now, you want to promote root growth, and to do that the plant must experience dry soil between waterings. The roots instinctively seek water when thirsty and will grow down & outward, increasing the size of the plant's root ball and in turn increasing the plant's intake capabilities. You need to be very mindful of this throughout the entire veg period -- when you water, water until water seeps out of the bottom of the pot. Wait until the pot is VERY LIGHT (almost empty feeling) before you water again. You'll know if you waited too long to water because the plant will wilt a bit, but if you catch it before it's too late, the plant will recover quite nicely and you can water a bit sooner the next time.
You're not watering too much, you're watering TOO OFTEN.
