lol ... beat me to it by minutes!I can't believe nobody has said this. In wire and many other things sized in"gauge" when the number goes up, the size goes down. Example... 12ga is bigger than 16ga. And 16 is bigger than 18ga. 12 is a good size for most applications.

The 10-amp breakers have me wondering about the health of the wiring. Even if that's good ... a 20-amp at 115 volts still won't do for a 2500-watt load, even ignoring spikes on switching. cn
