When I was a kid, I lived in the Malaysian jungle for awhile, maybe six months or so. We lived basically as the natives did, porous houses (tin roofed sheds really), rustic cooking and all.

Very quickly we learned that if the potential icky critter ate mosquitoes, it was a valuable ally and not to kill or run it off!

Seriously, if it eats mosquitoes (or grow room pests) it's on OUR team- don't worry about how many legs it's got!

I agree 100%. They are useful as shit.

Buuuut if I ever woke up from a dream and one was crawling on my face I might stab out my own eyes....

I couldn't kill it mainly bc I would've had to hit it several times. Suppose I hit it once and the dam thing dropped to the floor injured and angry it would've sworn a blood oath towards retaliation. Jeeez.
Capturing it wasn't so hard, nor was the scorpion, and once the critter was outside I was able to close my eyes at least.
I found the spider is a giant crab spider. Not as frisky as a wolf spider but....
The scorpion however is a bark scorpion. Nasty bite, poisonous.

Time for a real freak-out. Australia's Golden Orb Weaver is one of the reasons I'll never go to Austrailia. This thing is from a prehistoric nightmare -

It eats BIRDS that fly into it's web -

It eats SNAKES -

I think it even ate this bitch -

IS SHE FUCKING CRAZY???

If one landed on me I would scream like a woman, and quickly shit myself to death...
