14 days since i switched to 12/12.
buds are starting to form.

got 3 females out of 6 plants, right on the statistics.
2 out of the 3 were topped, the other one trained.

didn't manage to clone the females. tried couple of methods but with no success.
this is the second time that i cant clone the ICE, in my previous grow i managed to clone all the others expect this one.
still have 4 clones that look like something may happen over there but i am skeptical.

for a backup, i germinated 6 other seeds that i got, 3 white rhino and 3 misty, they were topped today.

Go simple with the cloning.
Just fill a cup with distilled water and put some branches in it. Change the water every 4-5 days and keep them warm (around 28°C)
In around 2.5 weeks they should root.
If any branch rots - throw it right away.

I use jiffy pellets and a cheap rooting hormone (hormoril 3). With those you need to get the feel of how moist the jiffys should be and keep humidity up.

hi fonz, what kind of light are you using in this method ?
how do you achieve high humidity ?

anyway, i pulled a clone from the rockwool to see if they were rooted, didn't find any roots but the tip of the clone become white and thicker, cant decide if it was the beginning of rooting or beginning of rot.

A 16W daylight CFL at 24\0 in a PC cab is my preffered option but I've got pretty high rates under 600W mixed spectrum at 12\12.
I don't think it really matters as long as you don't overlight the clones to keep them from drying.
I build up humidity by placing a clear plastic cup above them, poke a hole in the top with a heated needle and duct that cup to the cup (same size) where my clone is.
You could use any clear plastic container with a FEW small holes on top of whatever you use.

1. Never pull clones from their cube. You'll destroy the roots if present. If you have more than enough clones you could sacrifice a few to estimate how long the others got but thats about it.
2. white and bumpy - going to root.
3. I hate rockwool for everything exept hydro. It also gave me the lowest success rating between all the others methods I've tried, and I've tried quite a few. But thats probably just me. If growing in soil I preffer Jiffy pellets or straight un-fertilized dirt in a cup.

day 29 flower.
the ladies are starting to mature and the resin is all over.

i changed my setup a little bit, added a scrubber and a cool tube.
i thought about upgrading the lights to 600 W but i stiil not sure if i should, i am getting great results with my 250 which will produce more then enough for my needs.

any way, this is the new set up :

600W is a LOT of light, and heat.
250W is nice for a 0.5 square meter footprint and you should be able to produce around 200grams a run with it when you got it dialed in.

Your colas look great man, be proud!
Very frosty.
You might want to start adding a tablespoon of unsulphoured molasses per 4 liters of solution to add some carbs to your mix. If you don't have any at home try finding the one with the rabbit logo that says "Blackstrap".
Should cost around 36 shekels.
It also has quite a bit of magnesium.

Cheers :-)

now it need Carbs ? god, this thing is starting to act like my wife, every week some new requirements.

as for the light, i know, its really more then i what i need now, i have plans to buy a grow tent 1 X 1 X 2 for next year so that my space will be bigger, i already bought a 250 fan, scrubber and a cool tube, i wonder if this equipment will be enough for 600W (dont have plans to gro in the summer).

Sugars, light and water are what fuels the photosynthesis, which produce the building blocks for the plant and creates ATP and GTP which contains energy in the P bonds that the plant can use later on for all sort of stuff.
Usually they have enough carbs to survive but extra carbs in their peak ensures they don't lack any.
If I recall correctly.

For a square meter tent you should be just fine with a 400W. a 250 m3ph vent through a carbon filter shouldn't be enough to cool your tent well using a 600W.
I've used a 560m3ph vent to cool my 400w and got proper results. a good centrifugal (not the cheap plastic ones) rated at 450 m3ph should be a bit better than my 560 cheapo vent, and it also gives off less noise. (currently I run them both)
Note that the strong metal ones should be used with a much bigger scrubber, I use a 600m3ph carbon filter with my 450m3ph vent and i still get some smells.

time is moving slower right now. :wall:

here are some pics :

#1 :

1-1.jpg1-2.jpg

#2 topped+ a littlebit of LST. i guess the the yeild from this one will be bigger but iprefer the shape of #1:
2-1.jpg2-2.jpg2-3.jpg2-4.jpg
#3 didnt topped this one, just LST. seems like this one produce more THC:

3-1.jpg

as for my next generation, i planted 6 seeds a while ago, 3 misty, 3 white rhino. right now 5 out of 6 are females  and i don't have enough room for all the ladies in my flowering closet, at least until ill cut my current grow.
so i guess ill flower them in a 1 liter pot ...

How's it going?

EDIT: just seen you wrote that you'r going to flower plants in 1L pots. DON'T.
the bare minimum in my book is 2L (a water bottle works great) and going 4L (a distilled gallon water bottle works great) will give you much higher yield.

Its better to flower 3 plants properly than 5 plants half assed.

hi man, thanks for the concern.
dont worry, i transplant all the new generation to a 1 gallon pots.

i dont have a lot to update, buds are getting fat but it looks like they still have some time to go, i guess it will be more then the 8 weeks that i planed.
