Idk how old you are but same in the uk for alot of people when we started out it was on imported hash and my dad never really seen alot of weed neither in his days was all hash or oil it was the norm cos its more potent of course plus real and with sensi seeds some of sensis stock isnt the same some still is tho id say there hindu is decent and so is Shiva shanti and maple leaf indica too so they got some stuff still worth growing out
How long did they take to flower?
Oregon green seed has a cross with c99 and blue satellite. I grew it last year and the blue satellite leaning pheno was some of the best outdoor weed I've ever smoked. Really tall lanky plant with baseball bat sized colas. Purple and frostier than most indoor I've grown with a berry grape fruity taste and smell. The bushier c99 phenos were ok smoke but the blue satellite pheno was amazing.
I got ahold of some blue satellite 10+ years ago that is to this day some of the frostiest weed I’ve ever seen. My friend had a 17 g pinecone cola in his jar, and it was indoor. I believe it’s dj short’s blueberry x breeder steve’s Shiskaberry
Yea we grew it (with my mentor) in the early 2000's. It was the frostiest and next frostiest was bogbubble. I was gonna crack the mangobiche landrace but decided to finish out the clones I have first, 24 weeks is a long time to be taking up space .

She's at 5 weeks into flowering in that pic. 6 - 8 weeks to go!
Id say there probably heirlooms rather than landrace chances are tho i heard ok things about the future 1 not much else about them other than that tbh most seedbanks that claim to sell landraces dont there often heirlooms or hybrids of said genetics i think theres only a few breeders these days selling legit landrace seeds to the public unfortunately
This is true. Most of the places I mention sell landrace strains that have been improved by selective breeding within the strain, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I do take great offense to any company that hybridizes a strain to "improve" it, but then tries to pass it off as a legitimate landrace strain. As far as "unimproved" landrace seeds, I believe only Seeds of Africa sells them. "Unimproved" strains simply represent a more diverse cross section of the landrace-you will have much more variety in phenotypes and quality. These seeds can be a LOT of fun because they are such a crapshoot-I cut my teeth on growing out Mexican brickweed sativas in the late 80s/ early 90s, back when most brickweed was still sativa and found/kept a phenomenal sativa mommy that I treated like a queen until she burned in a fire a decade later. I'd love for a seedbank to breed seed like this to preserve all of the genetic potential of each and every landrace in the world....but alas, there is no money in it. BUT...for people working within their local laws who are restricted to small numbers, being able to purchase "improved" and even feminized landrace seeds is a godsend.

Yes! We have at least 2 generations of people out there now, who have had high thc hybrids pushed in their faces all of their lives, and who may have never tried cannabis in the form that humans have enjoyed for thousands of years. Many have never even had a pure sativa-or if they have, it was a "haze" that made them paranoid. I'll never forget when my millennial cousin tried some real Hawaiian elephant with me a few years back, it was like a revelation for him, almost a religious experience. Now he's just as crazy about landraces as I am. I really hope you're right, I would love to see demand for them increase-and I'd also like to see a large scale effort to preserve landrace genetics for the future. I do like a few hybrid strains for the unusual terpenes, I like the strawberries and grapes-one of my favorite plants of all time was a very special grape ape mother I had-but for the most part, I feel like 95% of modern cannabis breeding has been one giant mistake.
