Hi, :) hey anyone try Critical Mass for a skunky taste ?.
Its nice but unless a lucky pheno its more sweet than skunky ime strange as certain phenos of the old b52 had a skunky pissy note to it but critical is a more worked line far as i know so thats probably why even tho the b52 is older the seeds shanti made critical mass from were the last of nevils big skunk from his stash if my memory serves me right

I'M not an expert on skunk #1 but i think its 50% Columbian gold 25% acopulco gold and 25% afghani.
Depends who u ask originally it was supposedly a cross of colombian gold x mazari then they added acapulco gold x mazari there was no straight mexi x lumbo it was all worked via seeds and using the mazari to stabilise it and help bring down bloom time then inbred onwards giving u skunk#1 to tell a long story short

the stinky skunk we had in the 80s/90s came from the west coast. my dads buddy ex wife sent the seeds and she swears the stuff was columbian gold..

The real RKS we had in high school 1992-93 came from some hillbillies from Kentucky that came here for a dead show at soldier field. .. haven't seen it since, grown 20 different skunk strains and none compare.

right. thats why i wonder if it was skunk 1 at all. same time frame as you said. im in maine and we visited friends in west virginia that had something very similar but not exact. so i think there were many mean" skunk" strains and not just one.

There is a forest preserve lake near me, 15 miles or so away.. there is a care takers house that cook county owns on the land.. about 15 years ago maybe 20.. the forest preserve worker and her boyfriend were arrested for growing hundreds of plants all over the property.. every late summer and early fall I drive by there to go fishing.. I smell real roadkill skunk.. this year I'm gonna track the smell and see if it's legit skunk plants still growing wild or a dead skunk.. there is a strong possibility it could be a dead skunk, lots of them out there in the woods.

What I consider an early AK trait, but since early AK was a skunk cross I will show it. I do not like resin on the leaf stems myself.
I wouldnt say ak47 is a skunk cross its close cos basically it is just swapping the Colombian gold for thai thats the only difference tho i suppose its one step from skunk#1 so similiar just a lil different

Believe what you want but phylos says even the newer ones are mostly skunk. The card that came with the seeds does not tell what the cross was, but research online in 99 led me to the conclusion that they were a skunk cross or I would not have made the effort to obtain.
