Oklahoma Soil?? Red sandy clay.

I live in southern Oklahoma. I was wondering and had heard that Oklahoma soil. Which is red clay and sand. Would be a good grow medium.

I live in NW okc and I am wondering the same thing..I plan on growing outdoors in the spring I have heard that clay does not drain well. Dig a hole where u plan on growing fill it with water and see how fast it is absorbed. if it takes longer than an hour you will def. want to put more sand and i believe perlite in it. Just what I have heard. Some more feedback from an experienced grower would be good though
