Whats up

I think I fucked up.. my buddy hooked me up with a 1000 hps ballast, bulb, some mounting hardware (the ballast was a "kit" so to speak, no housing) some nutes and rockwool, the only thing is the ballast says it needs 480 volts to operate.. im almost positive that i dont have any 480 volt outputs, but is there any way I can run this ballast in my home? I really don't want to have to set up anything complicated because i dont really trust my electrical abilities...

any ideas? or should i just buy a multi-tap ballast that can run on 120 volts?

:peace:

are you sure your ballast isnt multi tap is their other wires coming of the ballast that are not connected they will be marked with their voltages

Yea, Like badluck said, some Ballasts are pre-wired for multiple power sources. Mine has 4 different voltages it will accept, 120v, 220v, 277v, and 480v. In my case I have 120v So I use the wire marked as 120v.
