Newbie (May have had beginners luck once) , I have 8 girls in veg started 9/4 - 9/5. Here are my details , I will start with the strains. - I am basically looking for some help and advice from the pros/newbies anyone willing to chime in .. thanks!

:leaf: * Strains picked up at the local dispens..
1 Lemon Kush - recover attempt from failed aero grow
1 Blueberry Hogs breath - recover attempt from failed aero grow
1 Master Bubbu - recover attempt from failed aero grow
1 Casey Jones - recover attempt from failed aero grow
1 Sour Grape
1 La Confidential
1 HeroJuana
1Super Lemon Haze

:dunce: Hydro System Setup - (after failed attempt at first time aeroponics , heat - root rot - disease - will try again later )
- 4 5 Gallan Buckets - Home Depot buckets wrapped in astro foil and sealed with foil tape ( I found the astro foil keeps the res temps lower by 2 deg...)
- 1 1 Medium cylinder - size air stone per bucket
- 1 air line thick home depot stuff ( I found it is better than the basic aquarium airlines something to do with the pressure im sure.)
- 1 pvc to run the air line and hold down the air stones
- 2 5 1/2 inch net pots per bucket
- 1 kickass GE hydro dual diaphram air pump (eco-4749)

:leaf: Room Setup and Design ( Work in progress ) room is almost air tight
Room size - 8 feet Wide / 4 feet deep / 7 feet high
Location - Add on room in garage , the grow room is the what use to be a walk in closet
Walls covered in astro foil ( also found it helps keep out the garage room heat drops temp some 2-4 deg F)
1 - Lumatek 600W 120/240 ballast - located outside of grow room as well as outside of cooler add on room in garage
1 - air cooled 6" Magnum XXXL Reflector
1 - C.A.P 6" inline fan ( not sure of cfm's yet bought used, but it sucks the room walls in when it is on - the astro foil.
1 - EL-500 gas filled cooling thermostat
1 - 400w MH Eye Hortilux bulb ( figure plants are small right now and the lumatek is dimmable to 600w when needed with 600w bulb 0
.. basic timer for lights

:leaf: Nutes
Foxfarms - It's all I know. I have been succesfull once before using the fox , so why not.
open for suggestions and input always.

Well thats the basic info I can think of right now. I will add pictures as soon as I can,, maybe tomorrow or by next post.

I have successfully grown once before using the dwc bubble bucket method. It was simple and in condo closet, 2 5 Gallon buckets 3 plants. Smelled like crazy throughout the condo complex - moved.

I have just learned some hard lessons about areo growing... im not ready yet. Will go back to that again later. My plants res heated up to 96 deg F because of the submerged pump, and I had no air stones , the setup was in a coleman cooler , about 3 feet wide and 2 feed deep and 2 feet high. I have an aquarium chiller now but just want to grow, will work on the areo system while these new bubblers go.

I am new here and hope to get some help as I know I need it.

*** Some of my current concerns ***
- airflow / oxygen (room is air tight)
- heat , always
- that my airstones are too big and the bubbles will drown the root ball or not allow the roots to grow into the res ( still traumatized by failed aero grow - plants where drowning, oxygen starved, and boiling with res temps at about 96 deg F before I caught and tried to recover , but when back to bubbler and cut all roots ) there is lots of splash just from the bubbles, I started with 4 1/2 gals of water in the buckets and am currently working my way down - 3 gals ... hoping that just a little splash or bubble mist will be enough to not drown the clones and allow them to grow down, then will either raise water levels gradually.
- I have some carbon filter rolls , need to DIY a carbon filter by flower or before.
- need LST plans for my size room and plants X light lumens etc... whatever
- Not enough light
- System to change out so many buckets during res changes
..... will add more as I think of them (mmmmmm this XXX-OG has me writing a journal....)

Pics from previous sucesfull condo grow / first time !!!

quick update.. just added something called "Humtea" from a company called "Cutting Edge Solutions" . I wanted something that would help the root zone and promote health etc...(still traumatized from root rot and stunted growth) . I also am storing the leftover humtea in it's own little bubbler system also wrapped in astro foil.. .

Finally got some pics to put up. They may be random ... but throughout the grow journal I will try to organize a bit.
I also have some pics of the failed aero system. Sorry pics are all sideways :blsmoke:

If I had a video camera I could probably record footage of the roots growing, that is how fast they are growing. right before the eye! it is insane.

... well for my own notes. After the blackout in San Diego my plants took a 10 hour hit with no power, it was stressful. One of the plants that was recovering looks bad again, the casey jones. Well let's see what happens.

I went to the hydro shop and picked up some "great white". Let's see how the great white does compared to the humtea. By the way. My roots are .... words cannot explain. EXPLODING> (new plants), and one of the recovering plants is getting some really root growth too.
adding pics soon. sorry camera and pc different locations.

I'm shaking. The roots look insane! the humtea made them take off and now with the great white they are just running away. Will take pics with my stupid phone and upload soon.
