NNNNOOOOOTTTT new white hairs poping out all over the place AGAIN!! TIMER IS 12/12 right now. been feeding her well. shes getting a lot of fresh air and there is no light leaks i just dont get it!! its a bag seed strain so i dont know what it is. do some strains just do this? i never had one do it this bad before. what can i do to get it out of this mode?

Brother putting her in 12/12 is flowering her, she will grow most in her last 2-3 weeks of her flowering phase. Your ? is kinda weird. why do you want to stop her from growing if youve been flowering her for 13 weeks? Am I missing something. Plants will grow white hairs sometimes to the bitter end. Just means shes getten fat for you.

thats what i wanted to know if the plant will shoot white hairs to the end. i will post a picture tonight so you can see what i am saying its not just just a few here and there ITS A LOT!! i just never seen a plant put this much out this late. got to look at it the way i am 13 weeks already and the way its going it is going to be going at least another 3 weeks thats 16 weeks in bud at the minimum. 16 weeks seems a little long for buding. i just never seen a plant take this long. its not my first grow i have grown for years and a lot of diffrent strains. i have not seen a bud this big from indoors any were on line. me and my buddy nicked it BUDZILLA I BET THE TOP DRY WILL WEIGH 2 OZs bet there is two or three other 1 oz buds on her. what i am saying i dont want her to go past that point were she losses her thc punch because i let her go TO LONG.

White hairs can appear to the day she dies out. Your counting your flowering from when she showed hairs right? Because counting flowering time should start around when she shows you her sex not when you first go to 12/12. I have a Nirvana Crystal that is 9 weeks from showing sex and shes growing white hairs like crazy, just means shes getting bigger for u.

umm...no they dont, that would be wrong homie.Count flowering from when she shows you her sex. This is a main reason people take there crop to early. he thinks his flowering time is around 13 weeks when really its around 9-10 weeks.

Im not here to dispute any growers. I only speak from my own expo and not from what people tell me or what ive read on the internet. If you think that plant is suppose to flower for 16 weeks maybe your correct. I dont ever count weeks to determine when its rip anyway. Everyplant is different.

"Once you think it's done, give it another week" - see this all the time, and one of the best pieces of advice for the new grower looking to harvest.

Some plants can take a lot longer than 13 weeks to ripen fully, especially sativas. Sometimes they can look done, then give bursts of growth and continue ripening, it can be very strain dependent. More of an art than a science. Best advice is to get a small 30-60 scope and start getting experience with what trichomes look like. fdd (another user here) has a great "is it done" and how to harvest (stickied) threads in the harvesting and curing section. I really like his method of looking at several factors, and I think he's right on the money with learning to spot that ripe glow/sheen.

also on some plants they will ripen over a period of time, so you will end up harvesting in sections...

im with drewabu on this one, i count from when i first see signs of hairs/sex
my current plant has been flowering for 5 weeks, its an 8 week strain, if i was to start counting when i switched to 12/12 i would be in week 7 right now and its no where near finished work that one out

m8 this aint a bad thing its good new hairs only come from calyx's so ur bud is just gettin bigger in my opinion wen ive used PK 13/14 this came on straight away i mean it was definatly the 13/14 that done it to mine n just made the bud fatter and the way i see it if ur not usin PK 13/14 then ur lucky ive read info on some strains and it states that the bud will be big with christmas tree like buds growing from the main cola

if u cant buy nice shit grow it

The time when you start counting 12/12 is irrelevant unless you are just going to harvest based on the breeder's description.
