Ok...buds not showing...why?

I am concerned because my skunks have tons of white hairs, but some of the hairs (maybe two or three on a plant) have turned brown/amber, but none fo the nodes actually have round buds like my dwarves (see crappy photos)

Should I just wait more/ Will they show eventually?

I mean I know its a different strain and all...but still, with all those hairs I would espect to see some actual "bulb" buds.

I'd give them some more time if I were you. But don't take my word for it since I'm a newbie in growing, wait for some more answers :)

I have 3 decent lights directly above them (see photo)...I mean it should be fine, I was only using 2 before but I bumped it up to 3 (and they are like... 5 inches above maybe? )

I dont understand what it is..maybe the temperature si too low...where I am there has been a recent cold front and my house is freezing... the temp in my closet is like 67 F, and it should be 70-80...

what kind of lights are those and how many watts are you pushing?.... every plant has a Flower-to-leaf ratio and they're all different... some plants have huge buds and no leaves, others have a ton of leaves and no buds (like one of my first grows, from bad genetics)... they may just need a little longer to fill out...

Those light look florescent which are good for veg but you needa ton more to get good bud production. They are really far away to if they are florescent they should be about 1 inch away from the plant max away is 3 inches

Shit, so more lights, and closer right? Would it hur anything if I arrange the lights AROUND the plants vertically, rather than hang them above? (like a stonehenge made of lights around the plants??? Or is hanging above good enough, simply lower??)

And yea fluorescent, 6 bulbs, each 11w each (in CFL terms of course...the equivalent in normal watts is...like....80W? i dunno)/

Anywho keep the suggestions coming folks!

ok so I found my other 4 fluroescent lights, and hung them around the plants one layer lower...so i now i have 3 up top, and 4 making a ring bout halfway up the plants (pic).

Any other suggestions? I cant afford any more lighting lol. I dont think i am about to use a desk lamp...altho i do have a mini CFL bulb and a spare desk lamp lying around...

They wont burn unless it is literally touching the plants.. You need some red spectrum for flowering, get a red spectrum 2700k 42 watt CFL for your desk lamp and stick it between the two plants...

i recomend you get a 400W HPS light.. if you cant spend the money on that i say you need to get at LEAST 3 100W CFL's Per Plant!

that would only run you about 30-45 at walmart

but you can get a 400W HPS system for 119.99

Yea, you are not going to end up with much bud using those lights. You really need to get some better cfls or a small hps light. There is no trick that is going to work with those lights. If so, everyone would be using those lights. You just need more light.

here is What I do with my floro tubes to increase the amount of light being directed at the plants. Take a roll of aluminum foil and take a sheet out that is an inch shorter than the bulbs are. Fold it over into a long strip that is just as narrow as the bulb 4 times is what it took mine. The strip should be about an inch wide and just about as long as your floro tubes. Now take the bulbs and mark how they sit in the fixture and where you should put the strips to reflect all the light down at your plants. This keeps the light that would normally go out the top of the bulb, and then have to bounce off of the reflector back to your plants, more directly aimed at your plants by focusing the light down instead of up. I have done this for many many grows and have never had any problems doing it. Just make sure the foil is an inch from the metal ends. i use regular old clear tape to tape them on the bulbs. It just might help you get through this grow until you can afford better lighting.

not to be mean but...

if you are on this site asking about your plants I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to do a little research into what types of lights are best, and you would quickly find out that for flowering you want red spectrum, not 6400K which would be more blue. get a bunch of 42W cfl's. And yes putting the lights all around the plant is also a good idea

Not to be mean but, if you would of read the entire thread you would find that it has already been covered And he/she knows what bulbs to get. You would also learn that the reason why some people have the best of everything is because they can afford it others can't, with that being said just because it is considered the best does not always mean it is the best for every situation, example John has 200.00 to spend to set up his entire grow. he wants a 1000 switchable HID, but he can not afford any thing else, so in this case John would be a fool to buy just the light when he will need fans nutes pots etc etc etc, do you see what i am getting at, just because it is the best for you some people have to make do with what they can afford and for some people what they have is the best for their situation, by the way not to be mean, but 9th post please......
