Ok, Attempting to grow again, dont care about males, smokeable?

i know how to grow im just not good at it, i have like a rotten green thumb, lol.
and i never said it turns to mids, i said its LIKE LOW-MIDS and only the leaves are, because i smoked a blunt of only leaves before and i was high for 45 minutes.

How do you know the leaves you smoked weren't female leaves from a plant that actually produces trichomes? Every month or so, someone talks about harvesting and smoking males and it gets the same response every time and there's a reason - because harvesting males is pretty much useless and people who have been on this forum for a while are TIRED of hearing someone like you posting BS about harvesting males and ripping of your friends by smoking shit with them. What the fuck dude? You're just trying to get a rise out of people, like every other post.

I'll bet that if that blunt of leaves actually did get you high, then it contained females leaves. You said yourself that the leaves had crystals. If the leaves had crystals, it was from a female plant and this discussion is moot.

So if the leaves had crystals (shiny things on them), it was a female plant and those leaves may very well have contained enough THC to get you high. If it got you high, then it wasn't from any THC because the levels of THC in male leaves is VERY low.

I'm just trying to help, but those leaves were from females. And how can you trust what any dealer says if he sold you leaves? Who does that? Are you 12?

I think the problem here is the arguement. Obviously some folks here have never seen trichs form on a male, and probably because they've never grown a male to maturity. They therefore just assume that males are good for nothing but pollen and the compost heap. When you're making hash you collect the trichs swollen with thc. Trust me,.. hash doesn't give a crap if the trichs came from frosty female buds,.. or the sparsely covered leaves from a male.

My vote is, any effort spent on growing a male to maturity, is better spent spreading out the other plants and LST and suppercropping them. You can always fill up your grow space regardless of how many plants your'e left with. Then you'll end up with more thc covered sweet bud, versus smoke n get a small buzz big headache leaf. Or make hash,.. it's your call after all.

Here's another point. But it might just be me,.. I hate smoking a seed. It puts a shit taste in my mouth for an hour. So if I happen upon such a bag, I spend a hella lot of time going over it with a fine tooth comb and picking out all the seeds. I figure, the time spent taking better care of the females after killing the males more than makes up for all the time I'd spend on picking out seeds.

I can spot a male pretty early,.. no later than 4 or 5 weeks after popping the soil some species will start flowering. Plus you'd have to grow that sucker to maturity to get the most out of it. So that's taking care of it for another two to three months. They'll start spitting pollen really early too,.. I figure it's a survival thing. Be the first to start busting your nuts and you're more likely to pollenate the ladies,.. so it's not surprising to see the males flowers start popping when the females are just showing flower. But I'd admit,.. if males didn't pollenate until after the thc was fully develop,.. I'd probably leave em be and make hash.

I hate smoking a seed though.

Oh,.. MJindeed.. You're original post asked for suggestions on your bonsai.

Use Uncle Bens topping technique,.. Start with the LST right after that and do some pinching/supercropping while you train them. If they're not in the 3 gallons yet, put them in one gallon first,.. and you could even start them in a cup. Each time you transplant, make some shallow razor cuts in the root ball. You must do this to get the most out of your bonsai. It is like topping but for the roots. It'll add a day for each transplant, for recovery to your veg time,.. but when you're budding you'll have the thickest densest rootball you can make, and your plant won't be bottlenecked at the roots for nutrient uptake. One of these days I'm going to post a journal to show that the best strongest plants that grow the biggest nugs,.. are grown from the roots upward.

LOL,.. sorry have to add, not to bust your nuts but just relaying experience,.. I seriously doubt you'll be able to grow the males separately and not pollenate the females. So,.. you should build an airtight growroom to put these males in,. and then kill the males and sprout some feminized seeds.

The stems are about as thick as that on my bonsai. This ones average,.. the big ones are in the back of my cab and didn't want to dig em out.

Smoking male plants most likely won't do anything, or atleast not much of anything, but making food or hash with them WILL definitely work and WILL definitely get you high. Last time I grew I was lucky and only had one male plant to get rid of.... it was probably 2-3 feet tall and mature with pollen sacks all over, but none had opened yet. I figured throwing it away would be a waste, so I tried to do something with it. I was too lazy to make cannabutter or hash at the time, but wanted to try something out anyways... so, I stripped all the leaves and unopened pollen sacks off the plant, leaving only the stems/branches, and I chopped up all the leaves/pollen sacks really finely, and then I mixed that in as if it were a spice or something in a tupperware bowl with zatarins rice mix, water, and butter..... you need water and butter in the rice when you microwave it to cook it anyways.... so I just put a little extra butter and stirred it all up making sure most of the leaves/pollen sacks were stuck in the butter before microwaving so that most of the THC would dissolve into the butter and become active. At the time, I wasn't sure if this would do anything, but about 45 minutes to an hour after I ate a small bowl of the rice, I was high. It came on slowly but lasted a long time and was definitely strong. I ended up eating the rice I made for about 3-4 days and got high every time..... best part was, it actually tasted good and the plant material was chopped up so fine that you couldn't even notice it while you eat.... just like oregano or something....... but ever since then, I figure you should atleast try to do something with the males.... might as well not waste them if you're going through the trouble of growing plants.. definitely don't let them pollinate the females though
