Has anyone heard much about this? I have been reading that ohio will have another bill for medical mj during november voting this year.

Does anyone have information on this? im curious as to how many plants one could cultivate, and how many care-patients you could have.

Its probably going to be similar to MIs laws. Im pretty sure the same guy who ran most things to get it legal up there is doing it down here. Mike Yoko or something like that. Ive read a summary of the bill and parts of the actual bill but that was a few years ago last time it was up for voting. Im pretty sure its the same bill just with a few words tweaked.

Not sure on exact number but it doesnt matter either way.You can grow just as much with 20 plants as you can with 6 or 8 or whatever number they decide. Just more veg and training. haha. Plus out door. i know the northern season isnt very long but its 100% free. well basically.

Well if it is about the same then care givers will be able to have 5 patients and 12 plants per patient. So up to 60 total plants.

Nice! dont quote me on it being the same i just know the same guy who got it legal there is helping ohio. So it probably follows similar guidelines since they tried a few times in MI before it got passed. Everyone basically knows what can and cant be allowed so thats why so many states are getting it passed. Theyve all figured out the format the bill has to be written in and what "exceptions" are allowed. Because most states only allow it for cancer and other terminal or life long diseases/conditions but theres always a little thing at the end saying something about "diagnosed" problems that the doctor recommends mmj for. Before alot of laws had medical abilities for anxiety or chronic pain and things like that. Now theyre getting stricter but at the same time theyve still snuck in a loophole for some of us to get through.

Im just anxious to see how it turns out. Hopefully they do work something out to make getting a card relatively easy. I have a good feeling about this year though.

Im hopeful too for ya! Theres always a way in and exceptions to the rules. Always an illness or ptoblem that cant be tested for and can only be diagnosed by the person having it. That and there will be pro-marijuana doctors advertised for on sites like this and weed maps and shit.

Honestly some states its just better to be a licensed caree giver and for that i dont think you need your mmj card. Just pass the tests and get the right paper work. then you can grow, dry, weigh, bag, transport, extract, etc... without worrying and youll be able to work with much larger numbers. lbs instead of ozs dozens of plants instead of maybe 1 dozen. Id shoot for your mmj card either way but if not you can always just be a caregiver.

Good to know. I honestly didnt know you could do that. I assumed to be a caregiver you must also be a patient.

hahha dont quote me on that either but im pretty positive you could be. I remember seeing stuff about it a while ago but it might just be certain state.

But, in reality, if only terminally ill or severely handicapped people are the only ones "allowed" mmj cards then they cant be expected to grow it for themselves in the conditions theyre in or provide for dispensaries and what not haha.

Haha, I'll be so anxious on election day that it better pass, cause I'll need medicine for my anxiety! I can't for the life of me remember what I was reading recently, but it said that "experts" (whoever they are - pollsters?) say MMJ has a very good chance of passing in Ohio this time around. And why not? Ohio may not usually be at the forefront, but we aren't usually so backward as to be the last ones to adopt new things, either.

Ohio was one of the front runners in decriminalization and has the highest amount allowable for possession with it still being a minor misdemeanor at 100gs

Some of the more lax growing laws and other laws.

I always like the " If "gifting" less than 20 grs it is just a possession charge"

Im glad to hear that though i hadnt heard anything on the ifs and or buts about it haha.

Just look up ohio senate bill 153 it is the same as michigan with 12 mature plants (flowering), clones have not flowered so those wont count. It will also be a caregiver/patient relationship, with a max 200 grams per patient, depending on prescription. More or less

Thanks! ive read it a few times but mostly just the "requirements" to get a card

I figured itd be the same as MI since the guy who helped out with it there came to ohio to help them.

I think it will make the ballot, signatures were obtained in mass last year, lets hope there were enough. If you are a registered voter contact NORML and see if you can sign a petition.

http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/politics/2014/03/05/will-ohio-legalize-marijuana-this-year/6104687/

Even with all the support, Ohio doesn't appear likely to change its marijuana laws in 2014. Medical marijuana advocates have gathered only 50,000 of the more than 385,000 signatures they'd need by July 2 to put an issue on the ballot this year. They estimate they need as much as $10.5 million to gather the signatures and run a campaign, but say they have only about $50,000in donations they've received or have been promised. And Republicans in the Legislature are unwilling to bring the issue for a vote.
Fkn politicians
