Ohana lemon ice tea and potassium

I was reading ohana lemon ice teas ingredients and seen that it has 40 mg of potassium and 68% sugars. Wouldn’t that actually help with sugar and potassium during flower for terpenes and bud blooming. You could Add some 2-10-10 ratio with a gallon of the tea and there’s your feed. I think I’m gonna experiment and let everybody know how that goes.

My plants really like water that sweet patato's were boiled in. It's loaded with sugary starchy goodness! But I only feed it to them the last two weeks before chop!

On a serious note, I’d honestly suggest looking up “compost tea” recipes for different stages in growth. It’s usually with an unsulphured black strap molasses (your sugars) as a catalyst, with worm castings or other guano / organic amendments to cater to what your plants need most.

All organic, and plants will love that WAY more than anything else

The lemon ice teas not as bad as the other pops. Faygo has vitamin c and potassium but only 6 percent sugars. Just a thought to try out. They love tomatoe juice and sugar as a compost tea. On a actual thought I found out my ladies were having calcium issues instead of magnesium issues so I had it backwards and the epsom salt didn’t work. I am wondering now if it’s to late to cal mag or is it okay to foliage the leaves last few weeks . buds look nice and filling out but getting a lot if yellow. On the fans. That last pic is one big ass cola it’s as long as my arm. Lol

I just don’t remember if it’s 0.2 that I raise the initial ec value the first five days or 0.3. With osmosis. And it also dinged on me that I could also have superficial burn instead of a calcium and had it wrong this whole time. But I’m sure it’s calcium with the discolored sugar leafs. I might just do tap water and keep it at 0.3 cause they love some acidic soil.

Aren’t these like 6 weeks of flower? They’re not looking like they should Tbh. Stop adding ice tea and sugared up shit in your bubble buckets To start. Feed these plants properly. I’ll be surprised if you get anything worth smoking here in 10 or 12 weeks.

The plants look really stressed shooting singles out.
Beverages are not made to be fertilizer. I wouldn't drink my a+b .....
I'd assume your mediums pH is all over the place. Adding all this junk in is only making things much worse

This is just ridiculous. There are better ways to provide potassium to your plants. Any decent nutrient will have all that's needed. And you don't need to be feeding fucking sugar to your damn plants.

I swear. Some of the shit people come up with. No wonder so many struggle with such an easy to grow plant.

I haven’t actually added sweet tea to the plants. Just stoned and seen 43 percent potassium and had a thought. I made a thought of experimenting with the next grow and was planning to experiment with. I used miracle grow soil cause Great Lakes wasn’t delivering when I started it. So that torched my leaves and I didn’t feed till that ran low cause of the little balls in the soil extending it. When they were early veg it looked like a potassium and magnesium issue but it was hard to tell the difference. I gave them some epsom salt and it cleared out. But early last week they started to yellow up again so I figured out it’s a calcium def or superficial burn which is what I’m aiming toward concluding. i feed on schedule every 14 days and give the same amount. 1/3 of what it calls for cause what it actually calls for .It says it’s 3 tbs and that’s way to much. last season I roasted one because of it. it looked like an iron or potassium issue but I never seen any rust spots until a few days ago. The buds are growing fine and the pistils keep reaching out and smelling great. The leaves just keep slowly dying off and yellowing up so I’m wondering if If it’s the nitrogen wearing off or should I cut the light back to 55 with the sf4000 and do a flush to see if that helps. I put it on 70% and par was 1400-1500 so 65 might still be a lot more than needed. It is definitely needed for a 4x4 and a 5x5 and will pull all 4corners easy.

I haven’t added it. Just had an experiment idea. I have done the tomato and sugar water in upside down buckets before with organics and that works. I just should of thought about about it being calcium instead of magnesium. You called it with that soil. I think that’s where I had the problem. But you lerarn from it

I was thinking about what you said with the ph in the medium being out of whack and I decided to check it to be safe and it’s actually right where it needs to be so it’s puzzling. It’s in the 6-7 range so it has to be a calcium deficiency or calcium lockout. That explains why it looked like an iron or magnesium def. There still green and the buds are swelling but they are turning yellow very slowly on the sugar and fans and I still have seven weeks to go till harvest. You can see where it looks like a mag def but over all it’s only old fans and single sugars doing it. I believe I’m just going to flush em out real good, increase the ph .3 or.4, add only 2-8-4, and give em some cal mag in the am and hope they make it. If not there’s always new genetics to try out a random bag. Look how thick there getting.

One I don’t trust this meters two if its good soil you shouldn’t have to ph it. if you keep the micro herd rolling well they’ll help that much more. What soil are you using btw?

That meter is junk man. Throw it the fack away.
You want to know soil pH buy a bluelab soil pH pen it's only about 2 bills. You can use it for liquids too.
I think you're on the right track with ph and lockout. That soil you're using is junk. It's got slow release mg ferts in it and it's likely causing you issues. Learn from this. Don't buy mg soil. Theres a reason we all use the same mediums. Coco, promix, sunshine mix, stepwell, etc
Adding more calmag is just throwing gas on the fire imo. If they can't absorb the nutrients adding more will only make things worse. Fix the underlying issue with the medium first.
