So I popped four beans last week. As of yesterday they had sprouted in their rock wool cubes so I put them under a 40W CFL and a gentle fan. Today they were beautiful
seedlings standing tall, roots starting to pop out the bottom already. And I spent three hours reading
and when I looked up again, two of the seedlings had drooped all the way over. They were lying almost flat out.
These were the two closes to the fan and their cubes had dried out completely. I bottom fed some water, top fed a little more because the cube didn't seem to be holding the water well. I've been avoiding top-feeding because I like to keep the tops of the cube dry to avert damping off.
I'm sure they'll be fine in a day or two, but GRRRRRRR.
