Oh Crap - Bananas and question

Found like 30 Bananas on 1 of 3 plants. All were on the first 2-3" of the main cola. Did not find any on the lower branches - just the main one. Did not find any on the other 2 plants. They are on day 42 of 12/12 (6 weeks) and day 35 since flowers first appeared (5 weeks). I have removed all the bananas which I first noticed appearing about 2 days ago. The 3 plants are in a rdwc system. Should the effected plant be removed/chopped or should the bananas just be cut off when/if they appear again and let her finish (estimating about 3-4 weeks). What are the chances the other 2 could be pollenated if I leave the banana plant and just cut them off as I see them. Chances are I probably won't get them all (tiny bugers) - some were packed pretty tight in the bud. None of the banans picked/cut were open so I don't think any pollen was released.

Thanks

Let her finish, try and pinch off the pollen sacs.
Alot of time the pollen sacs that are in the bud don't open, atleast that's what I've noticed.
If the pollen sac does open inside the bud I'd say most of the pollen gets caught inside the bud it opened in.
Good luck man.

Thanks for the advice. I have decided to continue with the Hermie as you suggested but have seperated it from the other 2 just in case. I only had 1 yellow Banana and all the rest seemed to be immature (more green than yellow). I do not see any on the other 2 yet so gonna keep my fingers crossed that nothing got pollinated. Upon closer examination, I see more in the hermie buds throughout the plant. Picked about 15 more off of it tonight. None are yellow but they are a more green than yellow (I'm guessing immature ones). So trying to nip them in the bud - maybe that's where that saying came from ! Since they were all connected with a RDWC, I had to disconnect the one Hermie bucket and turn it into a bubbler bucket so it could stand alone in another room - what a PIA. Hope the bubbler works and the plant will like it as I have never tried bubblers before. The Hermie is pretty sticky and fruity at this point with about 25% of the hairs browning out. On day 43 of 12/12 and day 36 since flowers appeared so I need a good 20 - 30 days of good Karma to finish. If all works out, I plan to give them to my disabled younger brother who needs all the medicine he can get right now since all of his money now goes to these shots he needs to get twice a month to the tune of $2,000 each and his insurance will only cover 1 of the 2 shots. When/If finished, maybe I'll try some real seeds as this was an experiment to see if I could successfully use a RDWC hydro system and help him with what he needs so he doesn't have to worry about it anymore.

good luck with your brother. one of my meds (remicade) is only covered by blue cross for 80%, I pay the remaining 20%. its a 7000.00 IV treatment every month. thank you BCBS for fucking my life up over money. if your bro is taking remicade, simponi (10,000.00 a month med), humira, enbral, pm me. I have a few places to get 4 free doses, or a company to assist in getting meds for free or really cheap. good luck with your bro, and thanks for helping him out when he needs it!!

back on topic. can you post some pics if you can, of the nanners? and what do you think caused it to hermie? ive been so afraid of getting light leaks in my tent, I bought a 25x100' roll of 6mm black construction plastic and made a tent around my grow tent. knock on wood, im 7 weeks in and I think I still have all females and no hermies.

You can try and hit it with reverse from Dutch Masters. I used it on some XJ that popped balls and bananas and it worked well. I had 32 of them and they were all popping them and I didn't get a single seed. It isn't something I use very often but the few times I did use reverse, it worked for me..

Which strain as a matter of interest?

Found a stray banana on my more sativa leaning Sannies Jack today.

I have read about this stuff. Since I have moved her/him/he-she, not worried about it, but I am going to otder some in case the other 2 start acting up. thanks for the tip.

I have no idea the strain - appears to be indica dominant as the fan leaves are wide and huge - they came from bag seed as a test to see if I could even grow hydro style. I was going to order from Sannies - I heard he put out some nice stuff like his "Jack". Hope it turns out good for you - check the buds carefully for those little buggers.

Thanks Demon-not sure what kind of shots they are-it helps his bone marrow make red blood cells or something like that. Will try and find out. Have no pics as I picked them off but will try and get some as more seem to pop up daily. I think it might genetically be a Hermie as I have had no issues with the grow until the nanner showed its ugly self. It def. is no light leak as they are in a sealed room. Good luck with your ladies and medically - sending some good Karma your way.
