OG Kush Organic Grow Journal

I am starting this journal on Day 17, this is my first grow and I plan to update this journal every couple of days. I am growing feminized OG Kush seeds in a 3ftx2.5ft grow room with 600watt MH/HPS bulbs.

I started with 10 seeds and after germination and sprouting I ended up with 7 healthy plants, I plan to only grow 6 of them in my grow room.

On the 14th day I transplanted my plants from Solo cups to 3 gallon pots, they seen to be doing great.

I topped my plants on day 15 and I can see the new stems starting to form 2 days later.. I plan to only top once but that may change.

I am feeding worm tea on monday, water on Wednesday and Nutrients on friday with some light watering over the weekend as needed.

This grow is completely organic and I am using the Simple nutrient line by Nectar of the Gods which includes 4 bottles.

I plan to veg for 4 weeks with an expected flowering time of 8-9 weeks..

The below pictures are from Day 16, they are short and bushy right now.

Day 17 pics. The two stems where I topped it seem to be showing a lot more. Im going to get rid of the last cup one soon, maybe I'll try flowering it under some CFLs.

Week 3, Day 21. I have fungus gnats but it doesn't look to bad.. I purchases yellow sticky papers for the pots and a chemical that I will put in my water to rid of them (organic, maybe I shouldn't sat chemical).. but nonetheless I'm not stressing about it.

One of my plants is growing a lot slower than the others and is a lot smaller.. it's as if it completely stopped growing. The other 5 plants are doing great.

I will post pictures when they wake up right now i have the lights set to 18/6, turning them off at about 5PM.. I want to instead turn them off at 7AM and back on ar 7PM when i switch to flowering.. if I leave my lights on 24 hours before this in order to turn them off at 7AM is that ok? I imagine it won't be to bad

When I decide to start flowering is it ok for me to keep the lights on for 31 hours prior in order for me to start my 12 hr cycle of darkness at 6am?

I want to do this in order to control temperature during flowering. Will one 31hr period of light after weeks of 18 be bad?

Day 23, first day giving them nutrients. I am feeding the simple nutrient line from Nectar of the gods.

They seem to be growing very well.. besides one and im not sure why.. i thinki may have topped it wrong or to early.

I had a fungus gnat problem but I purchased a natural chemical from a hydroponics store that requires one drop per gallon of water.. it really cleared them right up. I'll get the name of it in a later post.

I decided to go through and prune some of the lower hanging leaves, I think I will be switching the lighting for flowering on day 30.

Day 24, I wasn't going to post today but when I woke up to check these beautiful ladies they had grown a noticeable amount.. I believe it's due to the nutrients, I also give them compost tea on mondays. Yesterday was my first round of nutes and they seem to love it.

Day 26, second round of nutrients and also 2nd day of flowering. I switch the lights yesterday to 12/12. They seem to LOVE the nectar of the gods nutrients.. the next morning after feeding them the nutrients for the first time I saw a major increase in growth and overall look. I added a drop of Microbe-Lift BMC per gallon, I typically feed 2 gallons for my 6 plants. The microbe lift is supposed to be very good at removing fungus gnats with no harm to the plants.

Looking good!! I'm currently growing 5 og kush I'm day 47 true flower & they are super frosted although I am a first time grower so I've hit a couple road bumps but the og has adapted & taken it all well good luck

Day 34, day 9 of flowering. They seem to be doing amazing.. I have noticed a big increase in growth and the fungus gnats are gone completely.

Day 36, day 11 of flowering. These plants are doing great but I am concerned that I have some males or hermies.. they were femanized seeds to I'm suspecting hermies.. check out the pics, are those balls? Lol

Very nice bushy and healthy looking plants. Wouldnt worry too much about them they are doing great. Congrats.

must be a male this balls..

Definately some pollen sacs forming. Hopefully that is just one plant.

So far 3 out of the 6 have pollen sacs and it's starting to become very obvious that they are male.. so I chopped em and left the other 3 to grow.. these 3 are showing no sex yet, do you think I'm safe? considering the other 3 already showed male.

I bought my seeds from a local dispensary that claimed they were feminized (just a budtender I didn't know well) and i found half are male.. so I definitely won't buy seeds unless from a well known source.. might only do clones in the future.. at least so far only 3 are male *crosses fingers

Just found out a fourth one is male after a closer look.. but on the upside I did find one female.. the other one is an IT at this point lol
