OG Kush Mother Plant

Wussup Peeps!

This will be my first time attempting to keep a mother plant.

I picked up a 2'7" x 2'7" x 5'11" grow tent... made my own single unit drip bucket... and picked up a clone from a local bud shop.

Lighting :
Home Depot sells T5 lights now!!!!! OMG was I excited haha... I'm using three, 2 foot, 2 bulb, T5 setups. I attached the 3 individual units to a pvc frame and hung them from the top of the tent... WOW is it a lot of light.

I plan to keep the lights on 24/7 and I have been told that doing this, I should only expect to keep this mother plant for a max of 3 months.

From this thread I was hoping to get some advice on nutrients/care for mother plants and possibly some instructions and hints on how to clone properly. I'll post up a detailed list of my supplies tomorrow.

I would get the plant closer to the lights, or vise versa. Don't want that girl to stretch, short and bushy to take many, many, many clones from.

I would also recommend that you get some MH light in there for your veg as well as those flo's.....

There will most def be some more pics tonight. I do plan to put some mh light in there, but I'm wAiting for a good deal on a used my ballast. The T5s should be good for now. I moved her closer to the lights today.

she will veg just fine under the T5's. Why bother with the heat of a MH inside of your cab?

I have a 2X4 flood table w/mothers that I veg under ordinary shop lights and I get clones for days to feed my 120 ezcloner (I put 2 clones in each neoprene collar).

not to knock MH though, I'm just saying the T5s will work fine by themselves.

Ya I'm hearing the same thing from my buddies... And I do agree... why use the MH if I dont have to... For the purposes of keeping electricity usage and heat down low, I'm going to stick with the T5s and may even add some more of them since they're so cheap at Home Depot right now.

whoops... sorry about the double post.

I picked up a MH street light today for $70 from Lowes. It's a 70w light. the way it's mounted inside the light fixture I can remote the light and leave the ballast outside the cab. I'll have a pic up later in the thread in my sig.....

So I'm gone from starting 1 mother plant, to now starting a total of 3... There is the OG Kush, Chemdawg OG & Black Domina Indica. I'm excited to see how they do!
