Og Kush - Dinafem Seeds - smoke and grow Review

This would be about my 7-10th time around, been going a while now. I don't take pictures sorry, I don't have a camera to do them justice.

Here's what attitude say about it:
Dinafem Seeds OG Kush Dinafem's OG Kush is a sativa dominant strain. With 8-9 weeks of flowering she's a fast finishing strain with a very powerful twist to it. She grows very beautiful with light green leaves producing a nice yield with impressive, dense, dark green, resin covered nugs. Dinafem's OG Kush is a very powerful, but still gentle and pleasant smoke with a long-lasting brainy high and a nice physical tingle. The taste and smell of OG Kush is an intense lemony/fuel one. OG Kush - Details: Family: Sativa dominant Genetics: N/A Flowering time: 8-9 weeks Yield: N/A THC: high CBD: normal

This plant was grown in SCROG 600w HPS Soil (organic) I vegged this plant for 5 weeks

At the end of 5 weeks the plant had filled aprox 70% of a 500 x 1000 screen

This plant only stretched about 10%

By week 4 of flowering the buds on this plant were already looking very full and producing a large amount of crystal.

By week 6 the plant looked ready to chop, I had mostly cloudy trichomes, no amber, 10-20% clear.

I harvested this plant 2 days short of 8 weeks of flowering, At this point I have about 30% amber trichomes no clear.

Final dry yeild of the plant was 2.5oz

So on the growing side this was not a massive yeild for the space, I have had plants give me 4oz in exactly the same spot.

This is the shortest flowering plant I have ever seen, it matures amazingly fast. The downside of this is that it may surprise you with how little it stretches in flowering.

The plant took the nutes well, it was strong and healthy it's whole life (I used oldtimers plant magic grow and bloom and Bloombastic)

Smoke/Appeal

I had very little scraggly lower buds, most of the growth was in the top buds. I topped my plan but it still produced large buds.

The buds are dense and covered in crystal.

There was quite a lot of variation in the bud to leaf ratio. Some areas seemed very leafy others had barely any, I think this is more to do with my space than the strain though. All in all the ratio was good, wasn't a massive pain to trim.

I would say this weed looks small for it's weight.

The high is very much a couch-lock, takes a moment to sink in. Good sleeper.

I would recommend this strain, it was very easy to grow. The quality of the smoke is great.

Biggest thing to watch out for is the fast flowering, because of this you need to veg for longer until your space is full. If I had done this I am sure I could of improved my yield. (If you flower this plant too early I think it would disappoint)

Oh and I think it's pretty astonishing to find a strain that was ready EARLY! 8-9 weeks advertised, mine was ready by 7 weeks 5 days

As for scrog suitability it does not spread it's branches out very willingly. Not the easiest to train around the screen but it was manageable. I think this strain would thrive in a Sea of Green (which would allow you to reduce the veg time)

Hope this helps someone out, I am always looking for info like this myself.

I've run her for a bit and agree with the growing traits, fast finisher, little stretch. However, mine is extremely leafy, fan leaves anyway. Also, the looks are impressive, but the smell is faint until broken open, and the taste was kushy, but lacked that piney lemon hint I've gotten from other OG's. She's been eliminated from my garden, but was super easy to grow. Thanks for the review hope you don't mind my .02. ATB!

It was a little leafy in places, but where I had the most intense light there was barely any leaf on the bud. I get the feeling more light may cure the leafiness. This is supposed to be an outdoor strain, but it does work well indoors.

By all means add any info anyone has, more info and opinion the better I think.

Glad you had similar results to me.
As for smell and taste, I've never had that good a nose for it. It just smells nice to me, no green smell (but that's more to do with drying and curing)
The smell in drying was very strong. Now it's dry there is not much smell to it until it is broken.

One thing about this plant I found strange was that a bit I smoked early, I dired quickly on a radiator, yet it didn't have that horrible harsh taste weed usually does when you dry it like this.

Weird how Dinafem said "Sativa dominant strain" in the quote given in the first post. Because the site says 75% Indica 25% Sativa. And it definitely stretches too, at least mine sure did, like crazy in fact. Haven't seen the buds yet but at 6 weeks flowering of two seed grown plants I can at least see flowers starting. I'm sure clones will be faster though, and maybe stretch less. Very vigorous plants though, crazy vigorous in fact. So far I'm very pleased with it, except the stretchiness is a little excessive, had to do topping. Will report on finished buds in a few weeks.

BTW I know this is an old thread, but the only one here about Dinafem OG. It's pronounced "Deenafem" rather than "Dyna" as you would think, I heard it in one of their videos once. Maybe somebody is named Dina who started the company. Personally I think Dyna sounds better but whatever.
