I'd go with cfl's if you can't find a cheap hps that will work.
LED's are good for cloning but they have very narrow footprints.
I have seen some decent LED grows though.

Okay, I checked my WW seed I am germinating this morning before work and it hasn't cracked yet. All things in good time.

I just started germinating my seeds 2 days ago.

Any prize going to be awarded? Bragging rights I guess :)

both my seeds have germinated, im doing a road runner 2 (automatic) and a mataro blue, just waiting on the party cups coming, got them in a small pot just now

im growing a roadrunner right now also...that lil bitch flowered at 12 days old...grows kinda weird...mine looks like a cock and balls right now

12 days thats quick, how is she with the nutes? my brother had one and he only gave it nutes twice, he was using pretty hot soil tho, think he got about an ounce and a half from it, it started on the window ledge then he put it under a 400w hps

i have been thinking about that....
i was thinking (if everyone is up for it) the winner gets rep from everyone that participates in the grow off
i was also thinking there should be 2 winners
one based on weight and one based on looks
what do yall think?

then us that started with seeds have no way of getting the weight of the people that are using already flowering clones

lol cool thread. Where's all the pics? Biggest I ever got in a party size cup was 20 inch bushes before they started getting all droopy from overcrowding of roots, but most likely I wasn't watering them enough (let the medium almost dry out a couple times).
I think they could have been bigger because they were pretty healthy at 20 inch before I let the medium dry out.

It was just an experiment to see how big I could get them before problems started showing so I threw them out cus I decided they weren't healthy enough to make it through flower.
Had to water those things like 3-4 times a day lol.

does pretty good with the nutes...its recovering now from her last feeding..was big bud and molasses...i think the molasses spoiled on me...not till after i watered it did i notice the pig vomit smell it was putting off.so i flushed the hell out of it.it had some issues..but its turning back all green now..till then its been handling nutes just fine at full strength

in the time given,i dont see how if its grown from seed it cant catch up to a clone thats already flowering.a clone will develop bud much faster then it would from seed.and some of us cant go on a 12/12 cycle to get a fast flower...other plants in the grow box.or im high as hell and missing the whole point of the contest :eyesmoke:

i dont understand the complaint
