Moisin-nagant The Big 5 sports chain in Calif has been selling them for years. They were going for $60-70 six yrs ago, now they are $140-160.
I know it wasn't that long when I seen it for that price, but it was on that site. I think their shipping is free, but I could be wrong. You'd still be paying a transfer dealer fee to whoever you have it delivered to. Sucks to have to go pic up a firearm cause you cant have it shipped to you. I'd be willing to do my own background check to have it shipped directly to me.

Beautiful Sig mate, I love the gun, and the light is an extra touch ;)

Yea those Mosin Nagants used to be cheap as all hell. you could get the gun for 100 and about a thousand rounds for another 100-150$ or cheaper if you were lucky. It shoots a 7.62X54 right?

Depends on why you want it; historical, disposable income, intro. Its a decent rifle (if in good condition) and a proven 100 yr old design. It is loud, recoil significant and russian ammo. If you really want to get into mid-long range shooting with a bolt action there are many economical good modern guns

Mainly just to have it and shoot it. Hell might even hunt with it. I'm aware that there are a lot of modern guns and I will be getting a new marlin 30-30 shortly.

If I may ask, why a 30-30 and not a bolt gun ?
The old 94 is passable out to around 100 yds, but having owned a handful of pot latch guns I'd rather drive one muzzle first into the river bank to tie my skiff off to than hunt anything substantial with it.

Not hackin on ya, just curious.

Just cause I like the appearance of them and their bush guns.

It also brings back memories from my child hood and red ryder.

I agree with the bringing back memories from childhood. One of the first guns I ever went hunting with was a 30-30. I can't shoot too well with em now but I used to be okay with it haha. 7mm is now the hunting rifle but it almost seems like it is too powerful. Actually it doesn't seem, it is, lol.

Yea, you can get AR's at Walmart. Only in a few locations though. Its usually the locations that are closer to the country, most city walmarts don't carry firearms.

these are lazy Sundays at my house in NY. I prefer to build my own firearms. I only use certain manufacturers. Mesa Tactical, badger Ordinance, Surefire Lights, Aim Point, Leupold, Nikon Scopes, etc...

I spend a lot of time in the open ocean with 8 different species of sharks, pilot whales, and a host of other things that think you are a toy. sometimes being armed means something a little different. go fishing with me and you'd better be prepared cause I'll get in the water anything.
Where's the powerheads?
