"Offgrid power system," opinions please, thinking of buying...

Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've been, use to be on everyday. AndI recently started growing again . But I NEED to change more power system because I rent a house and my landlord was checking my meter and was about to kick me out. Luckily I changed his mind, but I'm definently chaning my power system. Anyways, I'm pretty baked so sorry for the rambling, to the point now... I found this website with alternative power source reviews, like making solar panels, etc. and one really caught my attention, it had something to do with magnets. They have a link to it, and I checked it out and it seems to be legit. Looks like it would work well too, it has to do with generators and stealing power? well thats from what I understand. PLEASE check it out and let me know your opinions is at http://world-web-reviews.net/green_products.html . Try to let me know if that's really what it does, and if you don't think it would work let me know too. :eyesmoke:

i would sell your hps ( witch i assume your using) and get a lower cost lighting system such as LEDs or possible a dope cfl set up. thats what i would do.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that, but I got 2 1000 watts, and that much power for LED would be way too much buy, but they do last longer. And cfls is what i'm kind of leaning towards. I use to use them, but I like hps's results so much more. I don't care to spend a little more a month for hps, its just the kwh's used i'm worried about. Thats why i was thinking of getting solar panels or something and run off that and electric. But so many panels would be needed to power 2000w.

yeah, thats alot of energy to get from panels. panels are also VERY expensive, have you looked at pricing? also you would have to store the energy from the panels somewhere.

yeah i know, the costs of batteries too, holy sh;t that would be expensive. you would have to keep buying new ones when they cant hold their charge anymore, i didn't even think of that.

i know youll figure it out man. there are a million ways to skin a cat and thousands of ways to cook it. only one way to eat it though...NAKED! got any advice or comments for my "dry ice Co2" thread?

Do you have air conditing? If no than go to the dump and pick up two old window air conditioners and stick them in. If he comes over they are never on so he can't bitch to much. 2 1000w and a couple fanns would usu 1/2 what the air conditioners would.

1 1000w uses 1 kw per hour

your cost for electricty is ??

my cost is 6.5 cents for a killawatt hour so

1000w uses 1 kilalwatt per hour, 12 on for flower = 12 kw x 6.5= 78 cents a day to run x 30 days = $23.40 to run your light for a month if you pay 6..5 for a kw.

Peace

LEDs use just about as much as a light don't be fooled by some of the clames on power use and heat.

Once again, it's not the cost. Its the kwhs I use, my landlord checks it and found out I was growing.
And I have a pipe with a fan blowing from the box I built out a window, I didn't say anything about my cooling : (.
BUT thanks for the help anyway

dont fall for that bullshit, period. companies like that are people pushing cheap products, just trying to make a buck riding the wave of green tech....

here's why-
#1 there is no such thing as perpetual motion... not on planet earth, anyways. we have gravity, and air. combine those two force/substance with movement, and you get friction. friction is the enemy of any so called perpetual motion machines, in theory, on paper, the only place you could actually make one run is in a total vacuum in zero gravity. also, there isnt a magnet in this world powerful enough to overcome both gravity, and friction, and still maintain enough EMF (electro motive force) to provide a constant stream of available wattage.
#2 one of the most basic LAWS of electricity states the following, its quite simple- 'Power In shall equal Power Out' this means that if you decide to runn 2kw of lamps, there must be a force equal to or greater than 2kw of power generating.... you wont get that from a magnet, unless its the size of a small house...
#3 they never tell you about the MASSIVE size, maintenance, and cost of the massive battery banks required to run these ripoff green power systems. thats right, i said batteries.... these systems are pretty much ginormous banks of dc batteries connected in series to provide a shit ton of voltage, which is then converted to a/c current via a rotary phase converter. the generator portion of the system, whether it be a wind generator, solar panel, zero point mag drive, etc etc etc, its nothing but a giant battery charger....
#4 it would be cheaper to just buy a honda whisper series diesel generator....... there quiet, reliable, and very fuel efficient.

you should look at this company if you dont beleive in electronic that are over 100% effecient. these use less then what they pull out. and you can read here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDS9qk-Nw4M on how to make a test unit for less then 20$ to prove to your self that it does work. i tested it, i have 5 old fans made into the imhotep bedini fans and thats what i use in my grow.
actually my old teacher had his house boat powered by a scaled up version btw his batteries are 20+ years old and getting better

ok, so it really would work?

indeed it does work, like i said i have 5 computer fans made into the bedini motors and they use a 9v battery to run and they charge that 9v while in use.... havent had to change it yet so far 2 weeks from seed and still going.
if you do scale them up you can use them to power your house, john bedini runs his whole shop with it.

This is just something else to think about, I lived without power the better part of last year. We got buy with a few small panels from harbor freight and some car batteries. BUT, at farm n tractor and other farm stores, I've been seeing natural gas generators for sale that can run a house. They're back up generators, that don't run your electric meter, and work on propane and natural gas. If you have gas, it might be worth looking into. I think they were like 2500 bucks though, plus a gas bill or propane.

For those of you who may have free gas for having a well on your property, I say make the switch. We're running my sportsmans clubs outdoor lights on one of them, maybe 25K watts of HPS flood lights.

i have 15+ years CEC's dealing with electrical theory, electrical applications, applied electrical engineering, and many other assorted certifications.
i design and build both powerplants and industrial robotic systems for a living.

believe who you want to believe.

and the reason your fans are still runniing is that they only pull milliamps, not killiwatts.

if bedini motors worked as he claimed, do you honestly think that energy companies would be wasting trillions of dollars on petroleum products and nuclear energy, instead of building large scale bedini motors?

im not trying to knock mr bedini, im just trying to stop you from getting took for your money...

all i have to say.

if you want i can write up a detailed explanation explaining why the principle of mag drive generation (also known as zero point) does not work for large loads.... its because the magnets repel each other and attract each other with an equal amount of force.... if there is any energy lost (like wattage being used to power a device) than eventually, no matter what, the bedini motor will slow down and stop to spin. the rate that the motor slows down is directly proportionate to the electrical load... the smaller the load, the longer the motor spins.

im not saying its feasible to replace the current energy source such as nuclear, coal and fossil fuels. i know my fans only use milliamps but that's just 2 coils. and the purpose is not to sell it. its for people to make their own and use it as they please. i know sailors who use a solid state versions to keep their batteries full while running their instruments and some even have toasters and tvs ect.
but i would like to hear how come my 9v battery running my fan isn't dead after 2+weeks of running

i challenge youhttps://www.rollitup.org/members/iam5toned-171064.html IAm5toned to build one even if it is the 20$ computer fan version and see for your self, they even run solid state without magnets as well if you tune it right
and if you build a larger scale and tune it and do all the proper testing, the chargers condition batteries or any size (lead acid) bringing them to a better then new condition by breaking up the sulfates on the plates and forming red lead on them. once they are conditioned they can take a more constant load and not drastically drop in voltage but stay charging the whole time.

LMFAO you do all that but cant spell kilowatt? wtf dude? your completely bs.

you don't have to be an engineer or physicists to understand that what iam5toned is saying is right. go buy one of the electric belts that zap your muscles instead of having to work out right after you blow your money on some stupid scam that is little more than a scaled up science project.

jeez iam5toned, you try to help someone and they spit in your eye :\
