Odor eliminating bulbs?

I got some similar bulbs that were oder removers. I never tried them, but my guess is that there is no way they would eliminate the smell of two plants, probably not even one. But there are some other cheap alternatives, build a carbon filter, there are some sprays you can use, but I forget which is the most popular. It would probably work well for you. Someone else post the name please..

Of course, it wouldn't hurt to get them and try them out. It can't hurt to have them...

The only odor reducing/eliminating lights I've ever heard of are the UV light bulbs found in ozone generators. If you get some - let us know how they work!

I definitely will. The science behind it is explained in the page, but I'm not sure if they would be effective enough to destroy the odor made by 2 good plants.

I'll buy them anyway and see if they work. Not a whole lot to lose since I was gonna get an Ozium dispenser anyway.

This is weird. Board after board, year in and year out, people ask about the efficacy of odor eliminating CFLs, to which someone who admits to having never used them will then say, "But you can always use a carbon filter."

The people who do use them either use them and are then killed by the experience or otherwise rendered incommunicado, or just see the questions in these threads, shrug, light another odor free fatty, and then go back to watching object-up-nose videos on YouTube.

It would be really cool -- and rare, and beautiful -- to see a post from, say, SeeMoreBuds, saying authoritatively and definitively, "Yes, I've used them, they're the rats ass. I'd rather have those than arms," or, "Yes, I've used them, every one come equipped with patented KopKaller technology and phone numbers for local bail bondsmen."

But seriously.
