Is there going to be a showdown on Friday morning between the protesters and the police?
Occupy Wallstreet protesters have been ordered to clear out by Friday morning because the city wants to clean up the area because it has become unsanitary. Demonstrators don't plan on going anywhere.
Demonstrators have been scrubbing benches and mopping the stone in an attempt to get the city to abandon its plan. But the reason for a clean up is just an excuse to get the protesters out.
After the cleanup, the city also intends to enforce a lot of rules that will make it difficult for protesters to continue to camp out on the private property.
