I think it's possible.
but think about it...
obama would get assassinated.
and not a lot of countrys look down on women.. whos going to respect a country with a women?
and mccain is just a joke....
What?
Not a lot of [countries] look down on women?
Then you say "[who's] going to respect a country with a [woman]?"
You mean like the former prime minister of the U.K., no one respected Margie Thatcher?
Or, how about Pakistan's Benazir Bhutto? They had so little respect for her they assassinated her.
How about India's former prime mins?
Or how about Corazon Aquino of the Philippines?

I am really not sure what you're saying, and I'm not sure you are, either. Why on earth would Obama be assassinated? He's not a threat to anyone or their way of life except as a threat to Hillary gaining the presidency. He'll keep operating as one leg of the two-party beast, he's already demonstrated that he's for sale as a state senator for Illinois (whether to family and friends, or to the lobby, he's available and has a price), he's already voted in favor of the P.A., in favor of continuing to fund our "efforts" in Iraq, and he's said very little about getting us out except to make very well-qualified statements that essentially say that he'd "like" to get us out when it's "reasonably possible" (Hill says exactly the same thing), which is lawyer-speak for, "I'll do it when I absolutely have to and not a moment sooner."

So, I'd kind of like to know what it is you're trying to say here. :?

I think in the scheme of things, A flag pin is a rather minute issue....Let's focus on the impact of republican policies on our country.

So here's my next question? Would anyone support a Obama - Clinton Ticket?
absolutely not....I don't want HRC anywhere near the ticket and I would lose some respect for Obama if he put her on the ticket....

The republicans woould have a field day on both of them.

Anyone who sits here and tries to put on shit about this. First thing is, Where is your Flag pin and do you wear it everyday? If you don't, then you can't say he should.

As to the supporters who think it's a non-issue, get real. This is politics..everything is game.

And I'll support them seperate, not together.

so what? he refuses to exploit the flag/patriotism. wearing a flag pin is like those people who sing about america and turn the american flag into a t-shirt. The flag is something to be respected not used like some jewelry or made into a shirt. A persons patriotism can be judged by their actions and their beliefs not their lapel. I think its more offensive that people put up facades of patriotism and think that having a pin means you love america. the exploitation of the flag is much worse than refusing to wear it

I generally agree with you, with the exception of one point: I find that, often, those who wear their patriotic symbols tend to think that they love America more than I. They tend to make statements like, "If you don't like it, leave!" To which I respond, "Fuck that, my friend, my country's in trouble and I'm here to change it. No cut and run for me."

The America I loved allowed boys to carry pocket knives at all times, including while at school. It used to be a given that all boys should know how to care for and use a knife. Of course, I was in school during the Pioneer times when we were still a society of moral people who enjoyed liberty at its fullest. :)

I've just pictured Shatner and Nemoy..

Cupcake.

I remember a time when a kindergartner wasn't sexually harassing the other when he simply kissed her because he was smitten. Anyone else remember that?

I do. My first kiss landed upon my right cheek, in 1945 while in first grade. The planter's name was Mary. Don't remember her last name, but I was shocked ... SHOCKED, I tells ya. :hump:
