Obama on decriminalization

I hate abortion. But I can't have one! How hard is that to understand.
I would not like to have an abortion. I do not have ovaries. I do not have a womb. Horrible as abortion is, I will not tell a woman to have or not have an abortion. Funding or not funding abortions is not government business. Just like liposuction isn't. It is a matter of a persons free will......FREE WILL.
How much free will are you giving up to prevent abortions?Ironic!

I wonder, if those folks who decry abortion are willing to take on the responsibility of those unaborted fetuses, either actually or financially? They'll spend untold millions telling others how to live their lives, well, they'd be better off adopting those kids. But no, as with SO many other subjects, they KNOw what's best for others, damn the consequences.

No, some of us use restraint, and if that fails we take responsibility for OUR OWN babies. Wanted or not.

I got married to my wife at age 25. When we decided we were going to start making love, I proposed marriage to her. Now, it didn't stop us from making love that we weren't married, and I am no saint.
However, we used two forms of protection until we were ready to have children.
Condoms, and the IUD insert.
And an IUD is 99.99% effective. Couple that with a condom, and that's pretty secure.

Im not telling people to do things that I wouldn't do. I am responsible for ALL of my children. And I used restraint before I was ready to have children.

I have no intention of taking care of your kids. Just be smart!

And for those who are raped (which is a VERY small percentage of abortions). Adoption!

And yes, there is a huge market for American babies. My sister has been involved with these adoption agencies, and they are scrambling for children to adopt out.

Unfortunately for my aspects of my life I grew up LDS.
But "LDS Family Services" has NO PROBLEM adopting un-wanted children out. They do it by the thousands!

I do not believe in abortion. It is not up to me to say what anyone can do with their body.We all have the choice to live our lifes as we see fit.
Adoption is a joke.My wife cannot have children,we tried to adopt but were not rich enough. The guidelines are so stupid that they make it impossible to adopt. They do not care if you will provide a safe and loving household, just if you have a income over $50,000.This was over 20 years ago_OPH

Then you are going to the wrong places. My wife and I considered adoption. We made 30k per yer, and only had to raise about $7000 for the adoption fees.

Just as we were getting ready to adopt, we got the news that we were pregnant.

I think after using such methods of birth control it made it real hard for us to have a child. But after about 6 months of trying, violla!

Like I said, "LDS Family Services" are ALWAYS looking for babies to adopt, and they do not have a problem adopting them out.
This is true for many adoption agencies all over our country.

As of 2006 the dept of health and human services has 129,967 children waiting to be adopted. Those are the latest fiqures i can find.
They have changed the guidlines then,we tried to and were told no,we were under the income guidelines. The only children people want to adopt are newborns, the rest get shuffled from foster home to foster home.
Me and my 6 brothers and sisters were taken from our Blackfoot Indian parents and put up for adoption by this wonderful government of ours.OPH

My wife is Cherokee but grew up in South East Idaho, her cousin's are all Bannock Shoshone and mostly live in Blackfoot Idaho on the rez.

Small world.

Anyway the LDS family services helps a couple pay for the adoptions through some of their tithing money and what they call "fast offerings".
They adopt to less-privileged families and also help them pay for the costs of the adoption.

Now these babies go to Mormon families. However there is not a lot of babies waiting. There is a waiting list for parents who want to adopt however.

There are Catholic agencies that help in this way too.

Adoption for people who were raped? Are you serious? Reliving the rape every single day, reliving it again when you give birth. Sounds like a good time.

So where do we draw the line on telling people what to do with their bodies?

It's my body, therefore it is my choice.

Is it murder when men ejaculate and just let their sperm die? It is half of a baby you know.

I'm allergic to perfume. We need a law banning perfume, cologne, bodysprays, scented deodorant, scented laundry soap, scented dryer sheets, etc.

Since we're telling people what to do with their bodies and everything, and these things make me very ill and cause me increased medical costs, especially since I go to the doctors office because I can't breath and the place is filled with people covered in stink.

"So where do we draw the line on telling people what to do with their bodies?"

It's not what people do with their bodies that worries me. It is how people are so quick to destroy the life of a defenseless human being that IS the true problem.

Sicko's that use abortion as birth control, instead of proper planning are what piss me off most though.

I think that's a weak arguement. I mean, jacking off compared to sucking out the brains of a fully formed baby is a big difference.

Did you watch the partial birth abortion video that I posted? Sick shit!

And I suppose the responsible decision would be to punish the baby for the rape! Yes that's an excellent idea (sarcasm).

Well it looks like nothing in DC has changed except some faces.. Obama signed an Exec order to clean up the lobbyists=good thing.. Then, within 48 hours, he gets waivers, to HIS new rules, to appoint the new head of the Pentagon,...who is leaving Raytheon to take the job..Now Raytheon is the 4th largest defense contractor...Faces change ...stinks the same....
my dad is one of the lead contractors for raytheon and a torpedo support manager. they do some big money work.

Yup! Obama is the president who is in the back pocket of the medical industry. Abortion isn't so much of a concern for Obama, it has more to do with who's asses he is kissing.

Same with pot legalization. Even though the majority of the USA wants it. We won't get it, because of who is standing behind Obama.

And for Obama to fuck his priorities up so much is sick! I mean ABORTION? Out of all things for our president to worry about, and he makes abortion a top issue?!

Yeah, like that needed to be done first! Giving baby killers federal money! Riiiigggghhhtt.

I guess you weren't aware of why he did what he did.

In his first few days in office Bush did this....

On his first day in office, Bush moved to block federal aid to foreign groups that offered counseling or any other assistance to women in obtaining abortions.[1] Days later, he announced his commitment to channeling more federal aid to faith-based service organizations. At the time, critics feared this would dissolve the traditional separation of church and state

Obama is just working his way through Bush's policies and fixing them.

There is a separation of church and state, but Bushie the kid seemed to have forgotten this. Obama is trying to re-separate the church and state. It's supposed to have been separate all along, but Bush had to do something to spend his time while waiting for a reason to attack Saddam.

So in Bush's first days in office, weren't there things that needed taken care of that should have been more important than cutting off funds?

I don't disagree with downsizing our massive budget. And 100's of millions were (and will be again) going to baby killers.

I think there are more important priorities is all.

Spending MORE is probably not the best plan.

So when all these unwanted babies are born, who is paying the medical bills? Who is paying for formula? Who is paying for the food stamps, the welfare checks? Who is buying them clothes?

How about when they get old enough for preschool, but they can't go because they always have headlice? What about the other parents who take care of their kids only to have them constantly catching lice from these poor little unkempt raggamuffins?

You do realize that unwanted children grow up to not be productive adults. They grow up to be criminals, rapists, car jackers, murders, etc.

How many unwanted babies have you personally adopted? Yeah, I thought so, stand on your soap box and scream, but when it comes down to you supporting them yourself, that's a whole different story.
