President Obama is playing basketball today.

Yes, after devoting nearly 9 months non-stop on the campaign trail the most important thing he can think to do is have fun.

Lets not consider that thousands of people in NY & NJ dont have food, water, electricity, gas. Never mind that a Nor Easter is headed for the same area on Wednesday.

Lets not consider all the other things he ignored for the last 9 months.

Lets not consider that he hasnt bothered to sit down with the congress in over a year, nor has a budget been passed for over 3 years.

This complete lack of leadership should not stand for the next 4 years. We simply cannot afford it.

And hell, you are aware that people are able to work better if they've had a chance to relax right? I like the slur you put on it though, in that he's doing it because all he can think of doing is having fun. Maybe he's thinking that if he gets a day to relax then he can get back to work the next day and do his job to the best of his ability. But right, i'm sure you know exactly why he is doing what he is doing.

You can't EVER escape US politics, man! These days, even if U live under a rock, the news about it is gonna haunt U until the next batch of candidates are here to sift thru! [sarcasm]

Actually, it's as simple as not turning on the radio, tv, or computer, and it all just goes away. If you live a remote lifestyle like we have for many years, really unless someone is kicking your door down that year, nothing much changes. Sure, laws change, but again living a remote lifestyle, even the long arm of the law has it's limitations.

LOL, this is just a bunch of people bitching and complaining. No minds are being changed, no new ideas are being brought forward. It's entertainment at best. If I wasn't entertained, i wouldn't be here. If post count means anything, it means those with really high post counts should probably find something better to do.

I would go as far as to say that more than half the people who bitch and complain in the politics section, don't vote and have never written a single letter of their own to any politician, much less made a phone call to complain. Nonetheless, it's good for a laugh most days.

I'd be shootin hoops too once in a while. Man needs to let it out his way. He is human, just not one I care for is all.

i happen to live in nj, and if i see the big o walking around with chris christie near another shore town i think i'll poke my eye out.. for the past week on the tele it's been nothing but these two walking around shaking hands with people who lives have been devastated, glad to get rid of him for a few days honestly..

guy has 11 post, not as if he is a active member with any need to retort or respond to the politics section, and where did i say this place was important, he assigned importance i refereed to his lack of post and effort as a clear indication of his activity or interactions here

I did read that wrong. It's a holiday at the shop today. Locked the doors and told the guys to go home for the day, been here smoking for hours. I bet I fucked the books up bad if I cant even read your post correctly, lol.

But I still, it's just a bitching fest around here.

That Nor'eastern is weakening and slowing down, No worries. Besides, what if he's just trying to relax and calm his nerves by doing something he loves? I'm pretty sure I'd be all sorts of nervous on a monumental day like today, something a good few swings in the batting cage would surely help fix. That or a fat bowl...
