I didnt create OGK/OG, dont directly know in person and wasn't there when it happened. I dont know Chemdawg either. I highly doubt anyone on this thread does either.
The most info will say that OGK is from a Chem '91 S1.
All the others , you'd have to know the breeder/creator to actually really know.
My guess is that after OG came out and people heard that Chem '91 S1s created OG, that some people S1s their Chem '91 and other Chem cuts, and got some like that. Others were crossed with things like Pakistani landrace and Lemon Thai supposedly.
The only real early OGs were never released.. the only breeders I know of that made any of these original OGs are Orgnkid, and Elite. I believe most of Orgnkid's work was was just passed around in small circles for a very long time. He created OGs suck as Banana OG (I have some F2s), and Triple OGK, which outlaw used w/ DPD, awesome cross, and Karma still has it in one of their older lines. Outlaw/IrishPride's new release of that line is gonna be made w/ SFV OG instead of the Triple OG, as that cut was lost and they like SFV OG better. Cant wait for that release. That'll be a nice purple OG.
Elite made "Lemon Larry OGK", I still have 3/6 beans I had but they didnt germ the first 3 I tried and that was 3-4 yrs ago. He got busted in '08.
Most OGs are crosses, IMO, there are very many that if hit with the right male, they come out great, and similar. Loran made "Long Bottom Leaf" w/ SFV OG x JCII, and said it made SFVOG even better. That dude is a killer breeder. too bad you cant but beans from him. at the moment. Definitely rocking at least 1 of his lines next run. maybe LBL or ECSD x JCII next to ECPD as a nice side by side a JCII and Double Purple Doja f3 male to the ECSD cut.. yeah, def would be a cool side-by-side.

I think a lot of people also have S1'd real OG cuts.
Im gonna guess that prolly something like %90 are hybrids though.. you just pick a OG leaning pheno and dont realease the progeny to anyone and all the sudden its a new cut. Theres many ways, and Im sure all of them have made multiple OGs. Then you fucking people like Swerve making his hermed out genetics.. try

If thats what you're genetics are acting like, you've either got a serious problem w/ your current grow method, or more likely you're buying shitty genetics that are made my pollenchuckers and not breeders. I would agree that there are not many good and great breeders out thers, but there are plenty to amass far more gear than you'll ever need. And all good. I so wish I had the space to grow out %5 of my gear. I know many private breeders that are far more skilled than many of the 'breeders' you'd see on say, attitude.
You want some good gear? Try some TGA, Bodhi, KOS, Sonic, Dynasty, GooeyBreeder, Motarebel, Hazeman, Beanhoarder, Karma, Trichome Jungle, Rare Dankness, GGG, many, many more..
Im looking at TGA's Jesus OG currently.. the HAOG is actually a renamed OG cut thats an older real OG, hit with one of the best males I know of, sub's JTR stud. It's supposed to make a killer line, and everything JTR, IME & IMO, always comes out great, and always has great germ rates, usually perfect %100, and usually %75+ females. Ive got 11 females from 10 JTR beans before. yes regular beans. That strain has a tendancy to sometimes make twins, and i've even seen triplets once. pop 2-3 packs, you'll see it.
But at the same time, Loran's LBL sounds great. And Mota made some killer gear w/ it. Really wanted to get that Valley GHash and Twisted Fruit 2.0.

thats my take on OGs.. I didnt grow up in Cali , but ive been watching the seed and canna scene for long enough, since when overgrow was still up, and thats my take. again, I dont know, but it seems, most here REALLY dont know.
Just reading this thread reminds me of why I dont frequent this forum though. no offense intended, just nothing like Im used to.
