NYPD, Bubblelicious and Hindu Kush HPS+CFL Grow..

please note that while the following posts on this topic by me seem like a lot fun, but they are in fact just figments of my imagination...The pictures posted are ones that I think best support my fictional accounts...

All seeds are from Nirvana, both NYPD and Bubblelicious are feminized, hindu kush are not..

Grow Specs:

4x4 footprint, basement storage room, comprised of concrete walls and floor...

600w sunmaster deluxe HPS
Futurebrite balast
generic hood with reflector, with glass enclosure, upward vents and 3x2
18 - 23 w CFL's

Organic soil mixed with perlite 60/40 split
6- 5 gallon pots

Nute's: All fox farm - Big Bloom, Tiger Bloom and BIG grow

Watering will be on an as needed basis, no schedule other than the nutes schedule from fox farm. I water only when the soil is DRY.

for reference I will say "Hindu Kush #1 or NYPD #2" when speaking of them.

1-4 - Beans put into the germination pellets...

1-7 - 5/6 sprouted (one hindu kush did not)

1-7 - hindu kush #2 bean placed in germ pellet

1-7 - 5 sprouts place directly into the 5 gallon pots and under 2 23w cfl's per sprout (6500k)....24/0 cycle

1-13 - took 6 days, but the replacement hindu kush finally sprouted and it was placed in a 5 gallon pot and under the cfl's

1-13 - went from 24/0 to 18/6 light cycle

1-14 - 600w HPS added on the same 18/6 grow cycle 30" above

1-15 - Watered with first batch of nutes... Today it was big bloom only. While it's a little early for the replacement kush, it got nutes too.

1-16 Prior to the HPS, the nodes were beautifully tight as expected about 1/4", after, they are about 1/2". Growth has really exploded these last two days.

1-22 Watered and got nutes including GROW BIG for first time

1-22 Move HPS to 12" above

NYPD #1 seems to be the king of the castle. Biggest by far and very strong.
NYPD #2 it's about 3/4 the size of NYPD #1, but looking great
Bubblelicious #1 Looking great, very short, bushy...
Bubblelicious #2 Looking really weird, very small, very weak...limp...
Hindu Kush #1 Looking good, shorter than the other, but very bushy
Hindu Kush #2 Looks good, but also looks like it's 6 days behind the others, which it is...

1-24 - Things have been great, growth looks good, GROW BIG seems to have pumped things up. everything looks healthy.

1-24 - Relized that I'm really dumb, had the time for the all the lights on 16/8 NOT 18/6

1-25 - Put lights correctly on 18/6

1-26 - R.I.P. Bubblelicious #2, it was alive for sure, but limp and the 5 gallon pot was taking up much needed space....

2-4 - NYPD#1 hit 20"...the others are between 11 and 18"

2-4 - 12/12 FLOWERING

2-4 - HPS lowered to 5" above (thank god for the great, cold grow room) all CFL'S switched out to 2700k's...down to 6 CFL's to keep the periphery's lit...

2-14 - After no signs of sex from either Hindu Kush, they both gave me a great valentines day surprise...FEMALES! So we now have 5 females in 5 gallon pots under a 600w hps (a tight fit)

2-14 - PICTURES!!

well I must say u have great imagination
For when u flowering them get them into a closed room so that there is no chance for light leaks...or u just put them out there in the middle of the room for a photo show?! (I'm too s****d to read the whole post)

Yeah, my mind runs wild some times...as for light leaks. The room is completely sealed from any light...it really is the perfect room.

2-15 - Now with 5 - 5 gallon pots in the space under one 600w hps... question is...do I need more light..hmmm

2-16 - Really hoping all of this vertical growth stops like yesterday.... Getting too tall for the HPS to maintain good penetration I think...

slow day....debating about getting a light mover....

FLOWERING DAY 13:

It's getting lonely here all by myself.....I don't need to post on the internet to talk to myself..

NYPD #1 - 32"
NYPD #2 - 32"
Bubblelicious #1 - 28"
Hindu Kush #1 - 27"
Hindu Kush #2 - 23"

Just discovered that Hindu Kush #2, which I accurately identified as female on February 14th ...3 days later is now growing sacks at most nodes...

2-17 - RIP Hindu Kush #2 hermie (see previous post today)

and then there were 3....NYPD 1 and 2 and Bubblelicious 1

2-18 - Did some limb moving today. Tried to get all of the bud sites out in the light rather than under cover and blocked... Decided that next time I'm doing LST for sure....

Yea from nirvana also Fems and have some nirvana snow white I started to just need to get a new camera then I can post pics

Those look great...mine are small and half the size....but I didn't know what I was doing and fuked up 3 of em bad when I transplanted em....yours look great. I have 3 with huge leaves like the one on the left...can't wait to see your nuggets but idk about the light...I added 2, 45w CFLs to my 400w HPS to supliment the side leaves.

2-22 - Bud sites are starting to explode. There are roughly 16+ tops on each plant

2-23 - The Lollipopping that I did on 2-21 seems to have not caused any issues at all. In fact, things seems to have picked up towards the top...

Flowering Day 20:

2-24 - Areas around the nodes (upper part of plants) are really stating to swell up... trichomes are starting to come in nicely now too.
