your not just leaving the seedlings in the 12/12 cycle right you take them out before dark time? If you did leave them in 12 hours dark your stressing the shit out of them and will increase hermie tendecy and make weak plants go get a cheap 8 dollar shop light and put them under that works great and is cheap. Please say your not 12/12 ing your seedlings lol
so do u think i will stress them less by taking them out and putting under the t8 for 6 hours then putttin them back?

Now would be the time, if you have a spare closet or even a shelf, to get yourself some CFL's or a dual-tube fixture and pop those babies right underneath it. The closer you get the light(not talking about your HID) to the tops of the seedlings, the better. That should help with the stretching. I think the back and forth you are doing right now may stunt your plants, but I understand your predicament.

Ok i got a lamp and i have a choice of bulbs, 250w hps or 250w mh. I think im gonna go with the mh for vegging as I got a 400w hps for flowering. What does everyone else think? My m8 is coming back tomoz to wire it all up and bring the 250w mh bulb. So by end of tomoz my seedlings will have their own room and a light on 18/6.:joint::mrgreen:

if i were you i would go with the mh. i wanna try a metal halide bulb for veg just from curiosity.otherwise, i'm happy with my veg results under my High Pressure Sodium.

Yeah. The 250 watt MH will do fine. What type of space are you dealing with as far as the vegetation area? I use a 250 MH in a space about 4'x5' and my clones and seedlings do fine, although I know I could use another 250, but that's in the works.

the grow room is 30 inches by 20 inches by bout 6 foot. The seedlings look streched, hopefully the stable lighting ragime will help thicken them out. Now should i leave the light on 24/7 or 18/6. My m8 swears by 24hrs for vegging. Im kinda leaning to the 18/6 tho cuz i think it all needs a rest but am open to suggestion.:joint: Its a floodlight so its all incased and most of the heat generated goes up out the back rather than on the plants which seems a good thing ill see wot its like at 1 am to be sure.

I repotted 2 nycd ryders and a bub yesterday, i would of done them all but i was having a mare. As i was repotting i lost half the roots wen nthe soild fell apart in my hands. I got them all tucked up in new pots an i hope they will be ok. You can tell they have lost a day or two just by comparing them to the ones i didnt repot. The first 3 pics r the unrepotted ones nycd ryder are the first 2 and bubblelicious the last one. the repotted ones, the black pot is bub. I also planted one more of each today aswell.

18/6 is better. Give em' time to rest. Then read this thread https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/60747-joint-doctor-s-newest-creation.html. I believe you posted here before.

yeah im subscribed to that thread. I decided on 18/6 as it would get way too hot in there and im not made of money lol. Having two lights going most the day is bout all i can bare. I also feel plants need a rest too altho ive seen some really good results with 24hrs. Thanks for popping back General :blsmoke:
