I was curious if I could mix up a gallon of water and nutrients and have sit out for say a week? Is it bad to mix my nutrients and water days before watering? Thanks.

Personally, I do not let mixed nutes sit around...what would be the point? Good or bad....why do it at all??

I was wondering if I mixed in my nutrients I could re use the water that is left over from watering. It sounds like you think that is a bad idea all together.

Nope...don't like it...not one bit. Why take a chance on perhaps harming my grow for a few pennies worth of nutrients?

Should be fine I'd just give her a little shake or stir. Not like you are leaving it for a couple weeks to get stagnant.

a lot of people leave the nutrients in the water for days before watering to make sure all the bleach is out of the water for one and make sure if they are using a powder its fully dissolved . actually better to let it sit 24 hours before use . I have seen containers that have 52 gallons of chilled mixed water with nutrients sitting for 2 or more weeks being all used up

I could see powder nutes being left out a few days to desolve and mix good ...when I do a guano powder il mix it in and stir it and let it brew for 48 to 72 hours mixing a few times a day before I use ....however a lot of liquid nutes say rite on the bottle to not leave the solution out after mixed and don't save extras if you have any leftovers ........could be companies trying to make sure your using product quicker so you have to buy more ....but shits so expensive it's pretty easy to mix exactly what you need .......I'm not sure why it would be a bad thing but I wouldn't personally let already mixed nutes sit around if I didnt use them for later especially if the instructions say not to ....better safe than sorry ....

Thanks guys, yes it is better safe than sorry. I transplanted two days ago and they will be taking more water so I am not sure how much yet but I will figure it out so I do not have to waste any. It is way to expensive for that. I am fusing Fox Farms Dirty Dozen nutrient kit.
