So i am on quite the budget, I can afford to go buy some nutrients if i need to but here is where i am at. i am going to use one plant as an example. it is 15'' across from fan leaf to fan leaf, and 6.75 inches tall. i planted on dec 3rd. problem is with my first grow i think i planted the seeds a little deep because it took about 5 days for them to breach the surface, and i thought a few would die but the all survived. so i have 6 total, and i thnk they are growing slower than they could be, and i think one of the reasons the growth has been kinda slow may be lights. (7 weeks veg, do they seem small?) granted they are all close in size but that is one of the best ones. so onto the thread topic, i already plan on getting stronger bulbs tonight, i have 9 of them of varying low watts, all surrounding the plants.
so since i am on budget i have been trying to use what i can at my disposal, well in my basement i found some Green Sweep Lawn food with a strength of 27-0-1. From what i know this is probably much too strong to give to my plants, furthermore it is in one of those bottles that attatches to the hose and hangs off the bottom to be diluted as the hose sprays water out.
So here's my question: Is the 27-0-1 the mix at full strength, or after the hose waters it down?
If i were to add half this liquid plant stuff and half water, would NPK ration drop down to 13.5-0-.5, or would i have to hook up a hose, spray a bucket full of the solution, then water THAT down in half to achieve 13.5-0-.5?
Is any of this possible? does this make any sense at all??
Also, i replanted roughly 1 month ago into black gold all purpose potting soil, it has a guarenteed analysis of .14-.04-.13.
Even if i can water down the green sweep, would i want its strength to be around the same as the contents of the soil? furhtermore since i just replotted, should i even be worrying about nutrients? with how long they have taken to get to the size they are for 7 weeks veg i am wondering if i need to add nutes, if thats not the case then i will be adding stronger bulbs next. take care, and best wishes.
P.S. will plants show signs of sex in the vegetative stage at all, ever or is the only way you can begin to decipher the difference after the flowering stage has begun??
thanks a bunch everyone, hopefully my n00b isn't showing.
