Nutrients on a budget

I've been wracking my brain for hours searching and searching for the best possible ways to do this and I've come to the conclusion I need the communities help.

Looking to get some nutrients for my https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/517574-first-grow-small-budget.html only thing I have now is 8-7-6 vegging nutes a friend gave me.

Been looking at Dyna-Gro bloom for flowering 3-12-6 but I have a seed of pineapple express I planted yesterday that is going to need a lot of nitrogen.

So basically if I could get a hand finding the best nutrients for a small budget that would be awesome. (Home depot, Lowes, I do have a few headshops in the area)
I've been doing okay so far with the grow but I want to make sure I get a decent yield.

Vegging nutes?
Bloom nutes?

Get your nutes from the grow store. The others are not designed for cannabis. The're salt based Salt = death. Your meter will only be good for moisture and light intensity. It's no good for PH. Your soil is a good buffer for ph so don't worry. When you get some cash get a PH meter that checks the water. Use RO water. Happy Growing!

I heard dyna-gro is good on a budget.

tomato fertilizer will work but not as good as the pro stuff ............................

Years ago I used Shultz liquid fertilizer for veging and it worked great. I used the very diluted strength on the directions and used it with every watering. The N is from urea and they say it is no good for weed, but my plants did not seem to mind. It is getting harder to find locally these days.

Luckily I haven't bought anything yet. Still looking around, gathering advice, and making a list from all the information I receive from y'all.

Keep it coming guys! If y'all have specifics that would be great.

To the OP: Jacks Classic makes some great plant foods, so does DynaGro. They're not just for people on budgets, they're for people who know better than to spend $$$ on mineral salts in a bottle because unless you're buying organic, that's exactly what every fertilizer is. If you find yourself buying 'canna-specific' foods, then you've got a lot of learning to do.

To be honest since this is your first grow, just go pick up some cheap plant food from walmart or a big box store. Miracle grow or something similar. There are so many things you need to learn before you start racking your brain on which fertilizer brand to chose. In all honesty, it wont matter.

Noted, but I am not going to buy the wrong there wherever it may be from. I have a bottle of MG 8-7-6 but it's only good for vegging. I believe I saw a thread the other day on here where someone suggested http://www.walmart.com/ip/Miracle-Gro-Liquid-African-Violet-Plant-Food-8-oz/16879743 to a member. Thoughts?
I don't/won't whatever you want to call it. I'm not feeding these anything without making damn sure it'll do the job and not jack up my plant.

You are your plant's biggest threat, not the plant food. That being said, the African violet food should be fine from start to finish assuming correct usage.

One of the best pieces of advice I have received since joining this site.

I have a plant a few weeks from harvesting, and if only I had had bloom nutes she would have been a lot better. But hey, you can't be perfect. I got her right around the time she was supposed to flower.

I suppose the next I need is a good meter/tester?

Jack's classic is a good inexpensive nutrient, you can get a 4 lb tub of all purporse and 4 lb tub of blossom booster for less than 40 bucks, that will last through several crops and it does a very good job.

If your still looking for a nute line id suggest blue planet nutrients super cheap and ive heard great things or set up a tea brewer

Hey OutLawd15, I agreed with Homebrewer. It will help you a lot if you can read plant...plant s leaves will tell you whats their condition, color or curl upward or curl downward etc..dont worry if you see somethings wrong with this plant..its really minor...dont correct it unless you see its serious , thats it once you get hang of it , you will understand how to make this plant tick

for you to start with fertilizer that I would recommend Dyna-Gro's GROW , from start to finish just use this alone so you can get more exprience under your belt. I learned one trick for my grow is water (water a lot not bit...just use all the water jug gallon down your pot if your use 3 gallon pot) then you feel the soil little dry or pot feel light then feed (low dose) , ---water, feed, water, feed, water---repeat cycle. And flush every two weeks to leeching buildup salt out and keep rooting healthy as well, It helped me a lot. Well I wish ya a best luck for your good grow
