Nutrients came with peat plugs

My peat plug and dome kit came with a packet good for a gallon jug. I didn't soak the plugs in them, but I'm wondering if /when I should use it.

Most stuff that comes free from a for profit organization is free for a reason ( wouldn't sell). My Earthbox came with a bag of nutrients and a bag of dolomite lime. Cool for different applications but not my babies.

Edit: Build a Soil sent me a free lil trial bottle of Dr. Zymes and that experience kinda destroys my first sentence.
