hi everyone could you tell me this. when using grow nutrients and bloom nutrients do i keep using grow nutrients along with the bloom nutrients when im in flowering stage. also i need a nutrient brand that i do not have to use additives. would it be possible to only use grow and bloom nutrients, keeping it very simple. or do i have to use different stuff. using flood and drain

There are some one-part solutions, but I don't think the three part solutions are very tricky. If you are serious about growing /w hydroponics I think its worth investing the time to learn.

Just follow the instructions and you'll get decent results. For example General Hydroponics calls for 3 parts grow, 2 parts Micro, 1 part bloom during veg stages then switches over to 1 part grow, 2 parts Micro, and 3 parts bloom. You can find some different ratios , but i don't have anything else on hand...

I use General Hydroponics 3-part + B'Cuzz Bloom. Works great!

I pay ~$15 per quart for GH stuff at a retail store. It depends on the size of your operation I guess, but a quart goes a long way for me.

General Hydro Flora Gro 1 quart

Here is a link to a very cheap source I just found using Google. This is just the 1 part, but the rest are about the same price.

the size of your resevoir, or rather the amount of water you have IN the resevoir will also be a large factor in the expense of your nutes.. i use a 40 gallon resevoir so it does get kinda spendy.....

Like basement is saying tho, do some research, and most most most important.. if your adding it, make sure you can measure it properly with a PPM meter, and water changes on a regular basis is HUGE....

sorry for rambeling..... and best of luck

I use the same as basement, the GH 3-part Flora series, but with KoolBloom. It is simple system once you get used to it.

I get the 3-part Flora Micro, Gro, & Bloom for about $25 - $28 per gallon at the hydro store.

I've had good success with these nutes so far.

Good luck with your selection.

NO.

You should use Grow nutes during veg,
when the light cycle is greater than 14 hours /day.

You should use Bloom nutes
during the flower phase,
when the light cycle is is reduced to 12 hours or less per day.

Some nutes are three part,
like the GH nutes and some AN nutes.

Three part nutes can be used in a 3:2:1 ratio for veg
or a 1:2:3 ratio for bloom.

Like the name implies,
these nutes are "general" hydroponic nutrients,
and they will work on almost all plants in hydro

Some nutes are two part systems.

Two bottles for each phase, grow or bloom.

There is only one mfg that claims to make a plant specific nute.
AN sensigrow and AN sensibloom.

Guess which plant these nutes are specifically designed for?
Oh, you've never heard of sensi tomatoes?
