Last time I had a chance to visit a Growshop the clerk sold me some Humboldt Master A and B. It does the trick, but its no Foxfarm or Advanced Nutes. I have been adding a 1/4 strienth dose of Jacks classic 30-10-10 with it for veging. And I'm gonna ad some 10-54-10 with it for Flowering.

If you do choose to use the Humboldt, you use the same stuff for both flowering and Vegging. During Veg its about 2 teaspoons per gallon of Master A, and about 1 Teaspoon of Master B. During flowering just use Equal parts of A & B. I adjust my PPM acordingly. Begining of Week 2, my PPM is around 1000 and I up it by 100 every 7 days untill I reach a PPM of 1900-2000 then I flush the final week and just feed with fresh water. Thats what I do, Im not saying it's right or wrong only that it works for me.

K so glenn if I were to get something like this http://www.longbeachhydro.com/index.cfm?page=shopping/shop&Category_ID=3&ChildCategory_ID=4&Product_ID=799&CFID=996761&CFTOKEN=81381723 would that be everything I need or would I need a cooling system attached to that system and would I absolutely need an exhaust fan for my grow tent ? I live in Northern Canada and it gets pretty cold in my house during winter.

Oh and would you recommend a system like that for a small operation ?

Yah that would work fine for a small space 400 watts is good how big is ur space and how many plants...i recommened aircooling the light i do in my tent and it stay 7-8 degress coller in the tent its self... the heat build up can effect plants growth... just a small fan sucking out thru the top of your tent box ...etc and with air cooling the light you can keep it closer to the tops of your plants..ie canopy so yes i reccomened air cooing with a fan...

anything else feel free to ask?

during winter mayube you dont need to air cool if its real cold in your house the heat from the light might balance it out ....

High Tech Garden Supply ( htgsupply.com ) has everything your looking for, and cheaper
http://www.htgsupply.com/nutrients.asp?categoryID=2&subcategoryID=110 There go your nutes, cheaper than longbeachhydro to.

http://www.htgsupply.com/growlights.asp?categoryID=1&subcategoryID=155&typeID=55 There goes your 400 HPS, save 50 bucks, and the first bulb is FREE.

HTG kicks ass. I've done business w/ them a few times. Ask around you'll hear only good things about them. Shipping is fast, there customer service is top notch. If for some reason they are under stocked (because of all there business) they'll upgrade you for free to.

Wow you have to pay 30$ extra for a standard light bulb to. 1000bulbs.com 400w HPS bulb cost 13$ a piece. That's the good kind to, cheaper ones cost 11$.
