nutrient advice

hi , iv got two between 1 to 3 week old superskunk babies just started to feed them iv given them 3 in 1 miracle grow, mainly cause i dont hacve axcess to al the flash shops. If the bottle says give it to them every 4 to 6 weeks, would that be the same as under lights cause my soil dries out every couple of days. thanks

the way i do it is give them a feed, when uv fed them lift the pot up to see the weight of that just been watered. then when it looks dry on the top pick the pot up to see how heavy the pot is and if its light then give them another.thats the way i gauge it

for every 2 feeds of nutrient i give them a pure water the time after

Depends on whether you are using soil, or soil-less medium. You want to completely wet the medium. When it dries out repeat. In soil fert less often, but still water. You can buy a hand held probe (<$6) that tells you how wet the medium is. Found in any decent garden supply.

Also container size is important. If you are growing in too small a container for the size of plant, you will need to water more often. hth

if your only option is wal-mart or whatever, find some fert that is for tomatoes.
