Nutes for Aero?

What are the best brands of nutes for an Aero system?

liquid is easier to work with but powders work also. There are many brands that make a hydro line. As for the best one well it goes like this:
Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one.
I have only used one brand so far so will decline to answer as to the best. I can say advanced has worked fine for a mildly novice grower like myself.

General Hydroponics.

No GH! use Advanced nutes . they have 3 parts for Hydroponics/areoponics now with Luis recipe. Also its 3 dollars cheaper on each part. I ve been grow Bell peper on areoponics for years . I have to say Advanced is the best for areo because it keep the system clean . If i gonna use GH i would use drip clean as well in whole bloom phase . good luck

So are people saying the ghe 3part has alot of salt buildup???? only i was going to use this having never used it before. i wanted a simple method instead of my 10 bottle madness, i get the results but im trying a new aeroflo 28 and i was advised on the 3 part and pk thru out flower???? any suggestions.


Advanced can leave alot of crap at the bottom of my res like the b52??

GH Micro and Bloom is ALL you need. 1.6EC, consistently throughout flower. should see some monsters.

don't waste your money buying all that other crap. Just those two bottles is all you need.

it's normally a 3 part feed but you only need 2 of the bottles. no idea on feeding charts as i don't measure my nutes. i pour and go. although i did used to measure nutes so i suppose i could help. it depends on the medium you are growing in.

In soil you need to feed harder to achieve good results, but at the same time need to be aware of proper medium management and a plant's salinity tolerance. it also dpeends on the size of your containers and freequency of feeds, temps etc. a lot comes into it.

you need the normal NPK mix then you need the micro/trace elements. This can be achieved by only using two bottles instead of three. It is called the Lucas formula. It normally calls for the micro and bloom mixed at 1:2 (there are other recipes).

i have low budget. Iam just gonna use aerogarden nutes..

the lucas formula is an over complication... i suppose like most feeding charts.

Canna aqua vega/aqua flora thats just my opinion

very easy to use and works very good just make sure you grab some calmag and aqua shield while you at it.

i use advanced nutrients it works great, but ive also used gh with similar results, also fox farms once didnt like it... gonna try eiter canna or house and garden next... but if your growing in water make sure your using hygrozyme keeps your water clean and if your water gets above 72 degrees dump it.. i suggest a chiller but thats a whole nother purchase...

I have used GH and Advanced Nutes. They both work great in my opinion. It only depends on what you want to do. AN cost shit much more, but its organic. And GH is 2 bottles with the lucas formula like everyone is saying and costs a ton less. You can get a gallon of each 3 bottles for like 90 bucks. +1 on hygrozyme and the chiller will help you alot. Just go to pet smart man you'll find a cheap and nice one for like 30$ or a little more. Also. I've always used the poop soup with AN. It made my buds enormous and sparkly. Lots of red hairs. Same with GH tho. It all depends on you.

A wise man mentioned that opinions are like ass holes.. Agreed. Here is one neut approach works beautifully.
VF-11 for grow. As directed on the jug. (abt 12 bucks a gallon). For Bloom "super bloom" Abt (7 buck a qt of powder). Mix 2tsp per gal. ONCE every 7 days.
Here where it gets tricky...feed once a week.. Either foiler or root.

if hydro add hygrozyme 10ml/g to prevent unwanted bacteria and root rot. You can use 35%h202 2tbs/g to clear up any disease and boost the o2 level in your rez. No more the once a week.

To enhance the budding...fouler feed with "snow storm Ultra" Careful with this one... Strong ju ju. CAN make your plants uptake so fast it runs outta food and drops over dead fast. Make sure the plants have plenty of good eats over 800 at least before using. At levels over 1200 you will need to add neuts within 24 hours due to the rise in uptake rate.(ppm will crash)

Bud candy..is easily replaced with a less expensive multi purpose products like..CLEAREX. It is a great flushing tool, but also, it is so full of sugars it plumps up your buds while clearing up gunk in the rez. I always keep a gallon handy. The real bud candy. IMO of course. Happy growing.


You can raise dozens of plants on 20 bucks or less using vf-11 and super bloom.(12 bucks if you use vf-11 only) This much is fact.

I used Botanicare for the past 2 years with great results. I have also heard good reviews about GH, and Humbolt.

I use grow, bloom, sweet, calmag, karma.
