Nute issues, what's happening?

Hi guys I just went and checked my plants and one of them had these leaves on it, I think it might be a potassium issue, it's in a rdwc setup with cyco nutrients the temps range from 16°c lights off to 23-26°c lights on under 1200w of HPS with an ec of 1.6 and a ph of 6.1, I noticed a bit of discoloration yesterday and it's worse today, they have just gone into their 7th week of flower out of an 8 week flower

I run soil but I would do a res change lower ph to 5.8 and feed a little lighter check on them in a couple days for recovery.

What type of meter are you using for EC?

And what do the roots look like? Take pics of the entire plant ijnstead of pics of individual leaves.
The roots are good, there's no slime or bad smell it smells like fresh dirt a bit but my nutes have stained them, the plant itself looks pretty healthy it's just a few leaves here and there

Ride it out. Plants are going through changes this late in flower. I would ease up on nutes if you're planning on 8 week chop or start titrating down until your plant is ready. All data provided points to nothing catastrophic. Keep doing what you're doing, start easing up on nutes, keep good airflow and exhaust. Mold is the only thing that can be a real issue at this point.

Your getting so close now to harvest i wouldn't worry about it to much unless it moves to the small leaves round the buds. try backing your nutes off a little and start tapering them off but don't stop completely i finish on 200 to 250ppm. i run rdwc and have had the same shit late in flower usually its a calcium or magnesium that lacking or too much.. is that week 7 from first signs of flower of from the flip 12/12? its a great way to grow though and you may get some more responses if you repost in the dwc section.

I'm not real worried about mould just yet I'm right down the bottom of Australia and humidity around here is like 35-40% but I'll definitely start knocking down my ppm/ec I have an exhaust fan and a pedestal fan on 24/7

Its 7 weeks from 12/12 flip, yeah I'm thinking it could be a bit of both cal and mag deficiency, I'll start backing off my nutes I plan on just running straight ph'd water for the last 2 or 3 days

usually 8 weeks is from the first signs of flower so you may only be week 6 of 8 if you get me.. if that's the case feed them half strength calmag and leave nutes where they are this should stop the deficiency progressing.. running plain water will just starve your plant and create more issues.. you have no burn so don't reduce it try some calmag.

I added some cal mag yesterday but I'm just waiting for the lights to come on to check on them, is calmag uptake better with high or low ph? I was only going to run the plain ph'd water for 3 days before the chop to flush them a bit? Or is it not worth it?

i don't flush pal i just reduce the nutes as they need less and finish around the 200 ppm mark.. not sure on the ph uptake maybe someone will come in and answer that for you. I would say just keep it in the sweet spot of between 5.8 and 6.2..

I'll give it a crack and see how it turns out, thanks for the help mate, if I dont have to flush it will save a bit of stuffing around

I haven't flush my crops for the past 5 years and all i can say is bigger better tasting buds...
Well that's what I was thinking, plants just use the nutrients to make plant stuff, so the plant stuff should taste like the plant not the nutrients

Plants only store nutrients in the leaf not the bud and i don't know about you but i don't smoke the leaf matter i smoke buds hahaha..

Sugars make the weed harsh... and this is why we cure it... to let the sugars and chlorophyll degrade. makes weed much much nicer..

Yeah I planned on curing in mason jars seems to be the go, though I might try and find some bigger jars and use the humidipaks to keep the right RH

Yeah that's the best way to do it.. I have about 15 jars and get upto 2oz dry a jar. Well not dry. I dont monitor humidity levels as you kinda get used to it.. when you dry and you think they are dry and ready for jarring leave them another day..
I burp the jars every day for first week then every other day for 2 weeks then twice a week. When they feel fully dry almost just burp once a week. The smell changes from a dry hey smell to sweet lovely weed smell.
