Have u seen any kind of flying bugs at all?? If not i would say u have a cal mg def creeping up i would also lower to 1.2ec and see how that goes. I mean ur feeding them 850ppm in veg i get to that in peak flower but everyone has a different approach to how hard to push plants.

Damn!!! I thought it was nute burn! I just upped the nutes too with a fresh batch. Do you think I should flush with florakleen to dissolve the salts? And with that flush should I add cal mag at the end that way cal mg deficiency doesn't show up?

What do you guys think bout flushing with florakleen to
get rid of salt buld up? Then the last gallon water with cal mag?

Which brings up the point...why did you up the nutes if you thought it was nute burn?

I'm with jbizness here...lower the nutrients.

Just give plant a good flush and my plants like an ec of 0.8 in veg and 1.2 in flower is just right

Tryed dropping the ec and my green leaves turned brown, not the best move lol

Haha no I didn't notice it before I upped the nutes, I created a fresh batch and up it from 1.0 to 1.7, I was following GH expert drain to waste regimen. Obviously that fail! I'll flush tonight.

yea I'll flush tonight I guess my plants are just a little sensitive! What do you guys think bout flushing with florakleen to remove salt build up?

Wreched,
Those companies always seem to set nute levels too high. To sell more nutes I suppose. Not familiar with florakleen but if that's what it's for...why not? Otherwise, if you use a really weak nute solution...it's a little easier on the plant.

Thanks JD, I'm going to flush tonight. Another question maybe you might know. I've heard when flushing out nutes people say flush double the amount the pot is in. My plants are in 3.4 gallon pots that's close to 7 gallons is that true? Won't my plants get water logged?

W,
You're in coco right? One thing you can do to confirm the diagnosis is to water to runoff and check the runoff EC. It should be close to what you're putting in.

But back to your question, yes, that's usually what's recommended...or even more depending on how toxic your soil/coco is. Your problem is fairly minor. When you water, if you put in enough to get say 20% runoff each time...this nute build up will be less likely to happen in the future.

Actually I did check the EC at run off and it was at .5 which led me to believe it was some kind of deficiency at the beginning. All plants are watered drain to waste.

W,
I looked at the pics again. You do have some tip burn and Mg lockout...so just to be safe, I guess I'd flush them, give them a few days of rest and then lower nutes to maybe around 500ppm or less. They aren't bad and should recover fast...

Thanks again JD, those pics are from last night, I looked at them again and looked at the over all plant it just looks to be the lower fan leaves, the first set. I can take another set of pics so that you can get a better look.

its a phos deficiency. not mg tox.

Hey hyroot, how should I go about rectifying this issue? Flush and re add nutes? As stated just above looking over the plants and it's just the first set of fan leaves. I should add that I did top them down to the best 2 node growth and removing all the stuff below it. But I only did this when I had 6 true nodes and I had an established rootball. This was done on Sunday.
I'll post pics right now

make a nutrient tea with kelp meal and crab meal and worm castings. first add molasses 3 tbsp per 5 gal of water

for 5 gal
1/4 cup crab meal
1/4 cup kelp meal
couple handfuls of worm castings

brew for 1-2 days then water.

also get a 5 gal bucket air stones , tubing and an air pump that has 2 spouts

i personally do not use guano or manure of any kind, no blood meal or bone meal or fish meal..

i recently switched to a complete vegan grow.

check this thread. it will change the way you grow everything.

I use coco though. Is this suitable for coco?

there is debate about that. May 11 does everything like this in coco. teas should work. theres a super coco (super soil) thread in the subcools organic section.

i use mostly peat since I do living organics.. microbes cant really live in coco. I've yet to try coco in this manner. I want to but just haven't yet.
