Nute burn! Been thru it before but not like this

As I said, they have been flushed twice, sledgehammer used in one of those. Far as sunburn, I have never seen plants not being able to handle the sun around here, and it's the middle/upper leaves, not the very tops.

Only other time I've seen the white bleaching is when I first used clones a few years back. Threw them into ocean forest and direct us light right away, and they probably got water on the leaves to boot. They recovered, but it took like a month

Ocean forest is supposed to be in the mid 6's out of the bag. Tap.water tests blue, last month there was a similar issue without the burning and we started ph adjusting the water.

Yeah, I just saw that! And it's the first time I've seen pictures of someone's grow that looked exactly like mine.

As I posted on that thread, it's been hotter before, and when the symptoms started showing up early last week it was pleasant...still is. I've never seen plants have that reaction to the sun around here before, so I'm still thinking its something else...or, possibly something in the plant has caused this reaction to the sun. But the soil, and feeding schedule have been constant for months, so I dunno what it could be.

The stems are green showing that it's not NPK or Mag. It's mid to upper which narrows it down as well. The leave tips are not yellowed or burnt, the leaves are not clawed...so I doubt it nute burn. Looks like sunburn or heat burn to me, if that's possible outdoor. I'm an indoor guy so idk. In my experience sunburn usually doesn't affect the top growth, it hits the middle..big leaves. If it's not that maybe Fe lockout cause of too much Phos as Shizz mentioned. 2 cents. Good luck~

I HIGHLY doubt it is suburn.......If you go on weather.com you can see how hot it gets out here in Fresno, Ca. It has been 100 or over for the past week......the UV index is usually around high to very high....I don't think it's sun burn....

Me neither, it just looks similar. Originally last Monday,mthere were some rust areas in the leaves. At that point it looked like a bit if nute burn. They are just beginning to show white hairs, which she theorized the need for N wasnt as great as before, causing the burn. We stopped feeding and flushed. Then a few days later that mid leaf yellowing started, and eventually turned to that bleached look.

Haven't given them anything but water since, but I'm thinking some type of deficiency or lockout. Today or tomorrow we may try more compost tea and maybe a bit of cal mag. It's just such a unique problem, three hydro stores looked at the pics and none could offer a definite diagnosis

At this point, is it spreading to more leaves? If not, just continue with best practice and you'll get through. Checking your soil ph will help determine if lockout is an issue but if it's not spreading, I'd just move forward as usual.

Yeah, that's all I can do. There may be a bit more yellow showing, but it probably looks worse because the initial yellowing and all is now dead or bleached? We will slowly start adding tea and cal mag, things start looking better it's about time for bloom nutes and a nit of N

Looks like salt build up which is locking out something and your getting too much of something else don't know what exactly cause I'm no botanist.

Personally I would transplant into some fresh soil if she isn't in the ground.
And then start back 1/2 strength on the nutes and work your way back up gradually.

Maybe water ,feed,water,feed,water etc.
To flush out excess nutes

She transplanted two of them from ten to twenty gallon pots in the past few weeks...and many flushes have been done. Been a week since any nutes, so we may ramp up slowly with nutes and see how it goes.

Pull the affected leaves off and see if its spreading to other leaves. Could have just been a "hot spot" in your soil

I'm kind of doubtful, all soil from different bags of Ocean Forest bought at different times and places...and it hit all plants at the same time.

Even if things get better, this is still a mystery I'd like to solve, since it's just so unusual and hard to pin down.

There are spots on too many leaves to pull them all off. And my theory is that if it is some kind of nute burn or something they took in, it will focus only on the leaves already damaged. Some of the newer growth is affected as well, so I'm still concerned

in life, random shit happens from time to time that is inexplicable.
